still steal Stan. I dont want to make a brass CT because it comes in contact with liquid
I never flooded a tank that there was that much liquid to make any contact with any part of the CT itself. However there are many times where drops of liquid from vaping (I would not call it a flood) makes contact with the CT's BRASS threaded center pin. The CT's BRASS threaded center pin is the most common part of all to come in contact with liquid.

Why is this brass part of no concern, worry or danger?

Yes that was my thinking as well, I only ever get some liquid on the brass centre pin and most times were only talking about a few drops

Exactly... so why are we concerned about the CT itself. If we are concerned about the CT's then I would think we must definitely be concerned regarding the CT's brass center pins getting in contact with liquid.

Hello everyone! I hope each of you had an excellent Christmas celebration.
I am kind of sad right now, I was with some friends yesterday and one fellow vaper asked me if he could try my JGG, long stort short he droped it to the ground (cement) it has some deep scratches. I tried to feel better by applying some car wax with carnauba but i guess it made matters worse. Now i want to know some more about Sharkhide, how good is it? Anyone tried cape cod polishing cloths? Where i live i can't find neither but i can import it. Now i know "never give a drunk person anything GG!"

Wish me good luck. Today is my birthday, i am thinking of giving myself an old brass JGG will see ;)

Hey Julpin Happy Birthday! Sorry to hear about you JGG hitting the cement.
As far as Sharkshide goes it is the best. I still use Cape Cod cloths for fast touch ups to me old brass mods. It is super easy to use and a great finish polish. Neither will remove dings thou. Good luck my friend and have a happy new year.

In order to fix deep scratches you need heavy weapons. Its hard to say without having your JGG here but basically you need to cut down the remaining Material to the height of the scratch and then work out a shiny mirror polished surface again.
A buffing wheel with all kinds of paste, sanding paper and/or Dremel are your friend here.
Optionally leave those marks, they add Charakter to you device...

Happy birthday - enjoy it :toast:

@wverweij yes he felt very bad and told me he could buy me all that's needed to get it as new but, he didn't do it on purpose, besides he is a good friend of mine so I let it pass. He did like how it vaped though, ;)

@mannigfaltig as you say, it adds character to it, war wounds. Of course i'll throw everything i can to remove them but if not let's say it adds character to it:unsure: thank you for your kind wishes.

Happy birthday julpin

Cape code is very easy to use with very good result though not supper shine.
Regarding the scraches it can work out if not to deep for less affect by using gentle
Micromesh, like 8000 grit and above to 12000 grit,in round motion as to make all circle of the
Tube even.
But if one keep abrasive the same spot only more damage then good can be made.
So it's up to you,and up to the scraches if not too deep.
But if it make any better GG is GG as gun is a gun, with or without scraches.
Don't think Tiffany think old Omega watch,or Berretta ;)
I sow some old heavy used GG's and they have there charm, for me anyway,
And you have kind of reason to buy one more, for now lol.
And by only the part with the most scraches on it as all parts are in stock in Smokguru:)

Hi Itshak, to be honest it is exactly as you said. Now I have a reason for yet one more :) to be honest I feel with the emotion i get when i am thinking of buying something GG and that feeling only goes away when you click on the "pay now" button so we all know where this is going. As far as using an abrassive i'll have to be honest, i dont feel with the talent to do so. I've tried a while back with my car with disastrous results, good news is that was only to my car and nothing GG but shhhhh she might hear me and leave me stranded in the highway.

Thank you for your tips and happy wishes.

I dropped the JGG prototype (in a velour pen pouch) on cement - it has a couple scratches that sharkhide will not take out. Only way to take out deeper scratches is with buffing wheel, etc etc like Manni said

Personally I dont know anything about buffing with machines.
