Hello everyone! I guess i have everyone tired of me asking questions all the time... :) sorry about that. Its just that i have another jGG coming my way and want my small collection to work properly. The firing buttons just keep coming apart no matter how much i tighten sooner or later becomes loose. Any tips?

You mean

1.- the whole button coming apart from the engraved tube (the button gets unscrewed from the engraved tube), ending with something like this:

2.- or the button's head gets unscrewed from the button's firing pin? Ending with something like this:

1.- You have to tighten more this ring (Adjustable Path Ring):

it should be tightened against the main tube (engraved tube). First install the button, adjust to your desirable throw and tighten the ring.

I do it by hand, wearing a pair of rubber gloves. You can use pliers too, but I do not recommend it, you do not want to damage your Just GG's engraved tube. If you decide to use pliers, put enough electrical tape around the plier's ends.

2.- You have to tighten more the button's pin to the button's head, for that task unscrew the assmbled Just GG button from the engraved tube, you can hold with one hand the button's pin with a tool like this one:

and the button head with the other hand, with something to provide better grip, like a rubber glove (do not use pliers). Tighten it as hard as you can.

Exactly as Ariel said! A small collection of these nuts mentioned under #2 are good to have. You need a 5mm nut for the switch and some others up to 11mm (when I remember right) are good to have in case you pick up a GGTS or Stealth at some point in time as there are a few more hex screws. I always get cold shivers when I see people in videos trying to unlock these with a set of pliers...

5mm nut did the trick! Thank you

I've had to repair a couple of GG's I bought with pliar gouges. I do recommend for those with weak fingers that need assistance a pair of angled forceps with silicon heat shrink installed on the jaws. You will have no metal on metal.

Totally agree,

Using pliers on GGs is a NO NO thing.

I assume Voltage Drop on the Brass JGG is mainly dependant on cleaning contacts right? The tubes shouldn't matter that much yes?

Clean tubes Inside and out do matter, negative current runs through them. Dirty black inside the tubes is a no no to dspin

How do we get the Just GG Axis's Black Plastic out of Just GG Venting Cap for cleaning purposes?
I want to be able to clean the threads and dry it out immediately.
there are no slots or slits in the black plastic to use a screwdriver to get it out.
I have tried soap and hot water to get it to expand and more slippery.
I have tried screwing in the brass axis post and putting pressure on it as i unscrew it.
its frustrating because i dont want to damage it.

has anybody been successful ???

Thanks
Rick D.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the sharp inside burr on the Just GG Engraved Tube where the GGTS Button screws into?

or is the sharp burr necessary for the GGTS Button to screw into?

i dont want to damage the venting cap threads or the telescopic piece threads.

what is your take on emery cloth and what specific grade or grades to use?

or some other type of handheld tool like a file.

its quite tight in there.

there is no way i am going to use a dremel tool.

Thanks
Rick D.

About button : i'v received yesterday parts for building my fourth jGG (old alloy this time) and noticed the rings of the fire button were different from the 3 others (very first batch) , more finely knurled, kind of very nice 'grain d'orge' effect , as previously seen on older GG mods ;)
Is there info (photos would help, i apologize i'm unable to, at the moment).

The subject have been certainly debated in the past, but i would appreciate optional new rings to match the jGG ACR 'newlook'. I guess Imeo would prefer to release a self-locking button for the occasion (?) , understanding its way of perpetual improving the products, but it is mechanically in itself a challenge to keep the tube junction (take a look at automatic knives options). I musn't be alone or the first asking ;)

Try with a couple of gardener rubber gloves or rubber dishwashing gloves, pressing with your index finger the axis black plastic and at the same time twisting the venting cap:
