A little unscrewing is needed still for better preformenc.
I wouldn't add more then one o ring bellow as I'm afraid the axis will become unstable on the plastic threads.
Now it's fine,if you want more without unscrewing then you can add adjustable nut on Ithaka or Pene
so it push more the CT,but I prefer it as so.
with little unscrewing you can lower CT enough
To close spring and get to the solid part of the axis.
But it's better and not like before, you have the two o rings of CT post inside The SS sleeve of CT.

That's great. And maybe 2 orings would leave a gap also in solid mode so it is better to keep it one. I will try it.

OK guys, I confess!

I imagine the SS cover has a function, maybe a security one, but I really cannot get it.
Can somebody enlight me? ;)

Here Dan,
You can see the one on the left thats how I use them,
It was recomended here by members, and does work great.
By removing the SS cap and plastic of SS cap and lowering battery.
This make the biggest improvement ever I had, even more then cleaning.
Add to that cleaning of contacts and your GG will run turbo charged all the way to southern home,
He will kick like horses do when you turn them going back to farm ;)

The SS cover isolates the battery negative from the axis. It forces current to only go through the spring which in case of short might collapse and provide safety. That being said I take performance over collapsing any day because I assume using IMR would burn before explosion + button will become hot in case of short and that's safety enough for me. That being said I do not condone or support anyone doing like I do.

mod, if you totally want to bypass spring, put justGG in telescopic mode
Not a bad idea. I'll have to try this tonight and see if it helps. So far, adjusting the CT and removing the SS cap off the negative post has improved my voltage drop quite a bit.

Thanks Imeo, I did that last night and wow! Being able to tighten the battery down using telescopic mod is just the ticket! And putting it into that mode negates the need to remove the SS cover on the negative pin. Doing this has again raised my voltage loss to 3.8. I'm very happy with that!!! :):)

Remove the ss cover, you are still using the spring otherwise.

I'm confused, how does removing that little cover do away with using the spring? The negative pin is still there and spring loaded? Or are you saying that the spring is what current is flowing through if the cover is in place?

When u remove the cover while using a telescope, pushing to the full will allow negative of battery to touch the axis around the spring loaded pin so current flows into axis.

The ss cover has a plastic that doesn't allow current to flow through axis.

Ok, im really confused.

I'm somewhat new with my GG, but I finally got a voltage checker and I have a huge voltage drop. Without a tank, I get a reading of 3.89, with a tank, it reads 3.12. My other mods show a much less drop. I've checked and cleaned every contact point on top and bottom caps. I've disassembled every part including the switch and cleaned it too. Is this a normal drop?

Dan, with a proper cleaning you can have a very small voltage drop on JustGG while still keeping the spring. I was new to GG and was experiencing same issue, but now it performs as well as much simpler mods. Check my earlier posts if you like. You can keep it safe and still hit very hard. That's why I think JustGG is the best mech out there.
