My original mail to him, I could not find the post this was all talked about before it seems to have been lost in the flow of the forums.

His reply:

Hi Exilus,
Sorry for the late reply. Been mostly busy and away. Thanks for
sharing such a powerful story; unfortunately I have to inform you and
all those who were nice enough to e-mail me that I can only feature
local South Jersey voices. If you are from South Jersey, and would be
OK talking to me on the phone about e-cigarettes, please let me know
ASAP. My work number is ----------. Thanks again for your interest.

Sincerely,

Steve Wood

It is ok, he has a set group of people he is aloud to talk to, but it does make me wonder. If there is a limit of the area that news papers are aloud to get their answers from, how do they expect anyone to learn something new, because in the end limited pool, limited ability to learn new things. But hopefully the couple people from south jersey who I gave the number this morning, will have some luck.

Hi, I am in Public Relations and his answer was honest. Today most newspapers have only one unique asset in this web world and that is - local stories. You can bet that his editor did say and insists on, only local. But this is not so hard to achieve is it - don't we have any members who are local to South Jersey? From what Steve Wood said I can tell you he would be interested in doing the story - just give him what he needs a local tie-in. There are other newspapers, magazines, tv and radio (oh and the internet too) that are national in their scope - they aren't teathered to the "local only" ball and chain - I know they too are interested in this story.

Bustastew... chuckles... been told that before, I am trying to learn the arguments necessary to convince Lucifer that, that he is a minor demon and I am actually the anti Christ, one day I will get there and we can all party in hell with vape and what ever else we want...lol

Yea I know I pretty well understood why he answered the way that he did, my comment was more the fact that All of this, and I mean all of this starts small and grows bigger. One person Sees the vaper, thinks it's smoke and complains, and it grows.

my comment was meaning more, that on a topic like this it is great to have the opinions of those in your area, but as a journalist even a small newspaper one, he should be willing to at least hear from else where to help educate those in his area.

That may have come out wrong but it's late Saturday in Germany and I am a bit on the party side, I just got my tests back, and I am officially as for now Fully cancer free! So celebrating.

While its nice that Steve Wood sent a reply (he hasn't sent me one yet), it would be even nicer if/when he writes the article for which he was soliciting letters.

I just did a search on their website, and the two most recent articles on e-cigarettes were both nearly month old solicitations for e-cigarette users to contact Steve Wood.
