New ecig user here. Just received my starter kit from Blu, and I have to say, I'm kinda disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, the fact that I'm not smoking analog cigs is really nice, but the Blus just dont have the kind of vapor I want.

But even with that complaint, still lovin the switch, and haven't had an analog since I got the kit. Now I gotta figure out how to get some heavy vapors out of my ecig.

Right now I'm using the prefilled carts from Blu. I was looking at different liquids to refill em myself, but I have about 40 prefilled ones left. I've been reading about mixing liquids to get lower nicotine and using VG to get some better vapors.

Does mixing with VG really get better vapors? Also, how would I measure the amount of nicotine that is going into a cart once i mix 50/50 with VG? I used 3 carts yesterday and I'm worried that my nicotine intake is much higher then it was when I used analogs.

I started with a BLU kit also and didn't get good vapor at first either. I found that going into the cartridge and removing the foil cover first that it gave me more vapor instead of letting the atomizer penetrate it and leaving a small hole for the liquid to get through. The BLU takes a different style of hitting to get good vapor, give it a short draw first to prime it and then inhale it a bit slower and constantly till the battery cuts off and you should start getting better vapor. It might take a bit to adjust yourself to the way the BLU wants to be hit and you should get a bottle of liquid from one of the suppliers on here as refilling the carts gives you much better results than the stock fill on the 25 carts they sent you with the kit.
As an aside.... I sent my BLU kit back for a refund after ordering a 510 and an EGO kit because they have more vapor, much longer battery life and the carts hold more liquid.
Congrats on joining the E-cig revolution and happy vaping to you.

I've been taking the foil out since I got the kit, but I'm still pretty disappointed by the vapor coming out. I guess I'm just used to taking hard hits on my marlboro reds.

Vaping will NEVER be just like smoking a cigarette, but can be close. The BLU does have a following here, there are some that swear by it. The big change comes when you are abe to get over the idea of it looking like a cigarette, there are inherent limitations in battery life, and voltage, and juice capacity with such a small device.

HI Duskin,

I also have the Blu cigs and a Vapor King Shorty from V4L. I agree that the vapor production is not good with the Blu cartridges. Reading through the Blu subforum one day, while I was waiting for my Blu to arrive, I found that the 510 cartomizer will fit on the the Blu batteries as they share the same threading.

I bought some SLB 510 cartomizers and a 10ml bottle juice from litecigusa. It has transformed my Blu into a decent little performer. Vapor production increased dramatically, and it has a nice smooth draw. The 510 cartomizers have a slightly larger diameter than the Blu batteries, but not obnoxiously so.

If you decide to keep the Blu you may want to take a look at going that route.

Hope the info helps you out.
