Just got mine!

About to make the switch... Mississippi coast here.

I lurked in the forums, reading reviews of various types and suppliers and finally made my choice... I decided to go with the 510 and found a supplier that seemed to be the perfect choice. The day I'm ready to order, they're out of stock on all versions of the 510, so I'm forced to find another one. I finally decide on a second supplier and give my boss the info. (She ordered the starter kit as a birthday present for me). My kit arrived today, and I've got it on the charger as I type.

From the time I decided to switch to arrival (today): just over two months. Now, charging and conditioning the thing takes a little over 5 hours according to the manual. I've got about 4 hours to go, and it's driving me crazy!

I waited over two months for this with no problem, but now that I've got the 510 here and charging, a simple 4 hour wait has me climbing the walls! LOL

Having it sitting here on my desk where I can see it, but not yet being able to try it is what's really getting to me. 8-o Did anybody else get this "last hours" insanity when you started?

Don't worry too much about a full charge. Lithium Ions are usually OK with half power in 'em. Give it a blast now:D

OH... Don't tempt me! LOL I'm one of those who just has to go by the rules. Dad was ex-military and REALLY drilled that into us. This might just be enough to make me break the rules, though. LOL

The first charge sucks but it will be worth it

I remember reading that about the first few hits... something to do with it having to create a liquid capillary bridge or something?

Regardless, it's gotta be better than burning these tobacco rolls, waking up coughing in the morning. I can deal with a few sucky hits to get rid of that. :D

Hey, Primal, just one word of advice. Sometimes a new atomizer is a bit slow to kick in, although these 510's are beasts when they are up and running. I had a few that gave me a good hit from day one, but others can take a day or two to really bed in. Don't be put off if you get less than you expected, because these attys always come good eventually. Nice slow draw works real well. In fact, most 510 users take a short "primer" puff first in order to heat up the atty. Just experiment until you find what works best for you.

How long to go now:D

Thanks, Fisherman! I was kind of expecting that based on what I read, so will give it a couple of days for sure.

Well, It's almost 6.00pm right now. At 8.11pm I'm supposed to put it together and take 10-12 draws and then charge it for another hour. Something about initial conditioning.

After that 1 hour charge, manual says it's ready for normal use, so I'm figuring I should be vaping by 9.15pm.

So about 3 hours till I'm up and running. I can do that... I think. Ya, I can do that... maybe. 8-o

Me and hubby quit Friday and so far we have not regretted it we both quit the day the Joye510 got here and think normal cigs stink now so we have put in a smoking ban in our house for all our friends etc.

My other half has quit, against his will, thanks to a lung infection, but it's driving him crazy. Once or twice a day he tries and gives up. I figure I'll get him to try the 510 and he'll be ready to switch too. (Maybe I should have ordered 2 kits? LOL)

I've already informed him that the house and my car will be non-smoking as of tomorrow morning. I'm planning to toss all my ashtrays (along with my last two packs) at midnight... or maybe turn them into planters? :p

I'll be glad to get rid of cigarettes... I love smoking. I just hate the smell, the ashes, all the other stuff. I definitely won't miss going outside in the middle of summer in the south.

I got my 510 kit 3 months ago. Charged the first batt for 1 hour then vaped. Put the second batt in the charger for 2 hours. Both batts still performing like the Blues Brothers:D

3 months? That's nice to know! I was wondering how long the batteries would last. That at least gives me an idea. Was worried I might be buying a new one every week. LOL

I'm absolutely planning to stock up on batts and attys and fluids, though, just in case.

Primal, seriously, this conditioning stuff is ignored by plenty of folks. So, the worst happens and you have to buy more batts a couple of months down the line - big deal:D Get in there and enjoy:D:D

LOL How about the letting it sit for 15 minutes after I put it together to let the cap bridge form? I should still do that to get the best possible hit, right?
