I have been trying the "through the nose thing" and it helps, also tonight I drew in to my mouth, then started to exhale through the nose and when it was almost out I inhaled a small amount into my lungs. I did stop by walmart and tried to get some VG to cut it with and could not find any, but stopped at walgreens and talked to the pharmisist and he uses it to dilute some medicines and is going to order me a bottle (less than six dollars for six onces) he also gave me a ml dropper for free. I believe that maybe the tobacco flavors are not going to be my cure so I need to look into ordering other flavors.

Got the VG yesterday, put some in the cartos I have been puffing on and it seemed to do better. Then I mixed up some diluted juice and filled up 2 of my empty ones. That seems to be much better. I did a 50/50 mix with pure vg and med kamel, and the same with some med vg cowboy. That is much better, I can now inhale some without choking, and I seem to still feel the nic value. So I guess my nic level I need right now is about 9mg. I still am not sure if I have a pg problem as I am cutting it with pure vg? I also think that I will prefer other flavors over tobacco ones. Well at least I can now give vaping a fair shot, and I think I am confident enough to bring it in to work and use it now.

Wow thank you so much for posting all of this needtoknow, I just ordered from V4L too... I hope I don't have the same issues - thanks for the tip on the VG.

Rachel, I think a lot of his problems are his vaping technique; I never experienced any coughing at all. The key is too take it slow as others have posted; there is more nicotine in each puff than you think (especially with the 24mg carts). You probably will not see as much visible smoke (depending on your individual cart / atty), but trust me, you will get a good hit. I don't think you need to start messing around with VG or going to the pharmacy until you are more experienced or actually have the same problems needtoknow has gone through. Everyone is different, try it out before jumping to conclusions. BTW, welcome to the forum, good luck and happy vaping!

Okay that makes me feel a little better - thanks.

Well it went well at work, I did have a couple of cigs too, probably just out of habit more than anything. Still trying to get the nic levels right, so maybe soon I just won't want a cig. But I am not going to worry about that as I had no intention of quitting when I first started looking into this, I think it will happen when it happens.

And Jamvector and Rachel I am not pushing VG, it is just what I had to do to save my a** as I was very frustrated at first. I'm sure through trial and error I will find the right thing for me, I am just glad I am not freaking out as I first was.

Hey Jam nice jersey in your pic, I grew up right outside of Madison.

I know nothing about the KR8 but, if it's anything like the 510 I got with the Protege, it comes with oily crud in the atomiser that needs blowing out first.

I forgot to do this, even though I'd read about it in these forums, and my first draw almost made me throw up and cough like a diesel with faulty injectors. It literally took me an hour to get the taste out of my mouth.

Customizers don't have primer as far as I know. They have juice already and don't need the primer. You would be blowing out the juice.
