So I just got my EGO and I've put the one battery on to charge. I remember reading in another thread somewhere that someone said you have to charge the battery for 8 hours the first time... Is this true? It doesn't seem to make any sense to me as when the light goes green it stops charging anyway. Also it doesnt say anything about this in the owners manual, it says it should only take 2 hours to charge. My other question is; Is it bad to use the battery right out of the box or does it need to be charged first? I haven't had an analog in over 4 days and I would really like to try my first vape but I don't want to ruin a battery or anything. Thanks for your support guys.

Vape away my friend, don't have to wait. That 8 hour stuff is a myth of batteries used to need long ago. You can vape away with the one that isn't on the charger and as long as your other one turns green it is all done. Don't forget to blow out the atty and take small drags at first til you get the hang of it. Drink lots of water too, vaping is dehydrating.

Lithium Ion batteries do not have any sort of memories like batteries of old did. U can vape away right out of the box. U can half charge and start using...u can fully charge, wear it half way down, recharge it. U can even leave them on a charger after they have fully recharged, none of which were a good idea with older battery chemistries
