Hey everyone,
I just received my order and I have some questions. First is, I got the usb passthru and cartos. Now, I can plug the usb into my computer right? Just asking cause when I do it seems to get really hot, the battery and carto that is, with out pressing the manual button. Second, all my cartos do not screw onto the passthru battery very well at all. After looking closely at the threads on both the battery and the cartos, the batteries threads are really rough. Every carto I try and screw on never screws on straight either, it's always crooked and I can't screw it on all the way, it's rough when trying to screw it on, kinda like when you sand something with sand paper, instead of a smooth screw on of the carto like my 510 when I screw on the atomizer, it's very smooth. I'm guessing I just got an "oops" one which is no biggy but I'm a little bummed cause I really wanna use this thing like now, lol. Also, when you screw the carto to the battery are the ends of both supposed to touch or is there supposed to be a gap? I ask because I've screwed them on as best I can, with it being rough, but I don't want to twist it to hard and I'd have to really twist it hard to get both end to just barley meet.

Thank you all for your help. I hope ya'll don't think I'm complaining, cause I'm not, just wanna make sure this isn't how it's supposed to be so I can get it fixed if need be. Thank you again!

That definitely doesn't sound right.
If it's getting hot when you plug it in without you doing anything I wouldn't use it.

I wouldn't screw the cartos on there either- it's probably just the PT and you might strip the threads on the cartos if you try to force them. There isn't supposed to be a gap.

Send Mark a PM or an email and he'll tell you how you can get it replaced. His username here is dohsma, his email is mark@vapor4life.com

Hey keyzygirl,
I thought maybe that was it too but I've pressed it quite a few times and it just hasn't stopped getting hot. I have to unplug it. I send Mark a message, I didn't want to bother him about it cause I hate to seem like I'm complaining. I'm deffinitly not upset, I know things happen like this...I guess I'm just an understanding person, could happen to anyone. Thanks again.

That definitely doesn't sound right, Gina - neither the threads nor the hot PT. There was a post recently about some cartos with bad/missing threads, so it could be that you got some bad ones. If the body of the PT gets warm just sitting there all by itself, unplug it right away. Anyway, sorry to hear you had problems, and I'm sure they'll get you fixed up ASAP.

keyzygirl, I was hoping it was something silly too, but it's ok, I'm sure it will get fixed. I've heard so much good from this company and I'm sure they will help me out.

pianoguy, I've deffinitly left it upnpluged and it's ok, I'm sure they will fix the problem I'm having...I've been sitting here smelling the cartos cause they smell so yummy, lol.

The heat thing I'd be worried about, but as far as the threads go, sometimes you have to unscrew/rescrew a few times to get the threads cut all the way.

In most cases it is not the threads. The center part of both the battery and cartomizer are electrically isolated by a silicone washer. If you look closely you should be able to see it. Sometimes when you receive a new cartomizer, there will be a gap between the cartomizer and battery. The silicone washer has not been flattened out yet. Unscrewing and screwing on the carto a few times will solve it because each time you screw the cartomizer on you are flattening out the silicone washer more and therefore eliminating the gap.

Granted, I have received one cartomizer that had a terrible thread cut and screwed on crooked. Almost as if one of the threads was crossed threaded but it did screw down all the way.
