Hi guys,

I just got my Provari 2.5 with the iBtanked hafling tank setup, what's the correct way of filling the tank and priming the cartomizer? are there any good videos on youtube demonstrating how to fill the tank? how much to fill it, etc as well as the proper way to fill the liquid or use the refilling drip tip?

remove the white rubber cap on the cartomizer then connect the dripping tip to the cartomizer and slip them from into the tank from the bottom?

the pamphlet says remove the white rubber plug from the cartomizer, then lube the orings in the caps with a little eliquid? what's this oring it's talking about?

Lube the cart. Just a drop or two to help the cart slide into the tank. Slide it up 3/4 of the tnk and then fill the tank avoiding filling it too high as to flood the cart. Use the thingy the ibtanked came with to prime the cart. It should have come with instructions for that part if not their website has them. I had great luck following ibtanked steps to a t.

I prefer to do anything I can with the Carto still attached to a mod. Helps to keep little slips that wind up with a lap full of juice from happening.

Check out the ocelot and Baditude's blogs for priming instructions and more.

Yes. Lube the o-rings. Don't be afraid to juice up the outside of the carto. It's easier. Just a drop on the finger should do the trick.

ok i just filled the tank and tried it for the first time... i'm getting 0 vapor for some reason :\

for this first fill, i filled the tank 4/5 full leaving some space at the top like it suggested...

the ohm checked out at 3.2, and i have the voltage set at 4.0.... it says to try take small drags and dont hold the button for too long, but then i dont feel anything at all.... when i took a long drag, i do taste the nicotine flavor, but 0 vapor T_T

am i doing anything wrong ?

***i took off the mouth piece and the foam material used to soak up the e-liquid seems completely dry to me... the cartomizer does seems to have 2 holes on it, so i dont understand why the liquid in the tank isn't making it wet at all :\

Easy rule to remember for cartos and Provari

Take the resistance of the carto and add 2 to get in optimum range for voltage. From there you go up or down in increments of .1 to find your sweet spot.

For example 3.2 ohms + 2 equals 5.2 volts.

Your setting isnt producing much vapor because its too low.

*** also you need to put several drops of eliquid into the top of that carto to prime it. Fill it until it looks slushy then wait a few minutes and fill it again.

If you dont you'll burn the carto

i think i may have burnt the carto... is there a way to take out the carton and put in a new one? the tank is already filled with liquid, and i dont have slap yo mama, i have the drip tool from ibtanked :\

man i didn't know i had to drop liquids on top of the carto :(
Did you use your "Thingy" to fill the carto first?

You can do a hot swap, use a new carto to push the old one out with and presto! New start, do it over the sink tho' ;)

by thingy, do you mean the refill drip tool? that's for filling the tank isn't it? to connect it to the cartomizer and then slip it through the tank

No, the "thingy" is the little plastic bottle you got your tank in :)
Did you not recieve a step by step set-up brochure?

Hi Syrianrue!!! Welcome to the Provarinati! Great choice...

As to the cartos...yes you should prime them once before filling the tank...after that, leave them alone..

+1000 to the suggestions to refer to Ocelot and Baditude's blogs on carto priming and such...:)

New things can be a bit intimidating but before you know it you will be a pro if you follow that advice...

    thanks for the info guys.
i just read Baditude's guide. definitely helped a lot.

ibtanked's instruction of priming the carto is by opening the tank's cap and closing it so the air will force the e-liquid into the tiny holes on the cartomizer ... the traditional way of priming is better than this method? by manually dripping the liquid onto the carto on top until the sponge is saturated with e-liquid?

i remember that was the way back in the days when e-cig first came out. i had a very basic one where it's just a simple cartomizer and we had to basically buy aquarium filters and cut them up into tiny pieces and drop it in the cartomizer and use the tooth pick and drip liquid onto it until it's fully saturated, but back then e-cigs didn't have tanks, so we would have to do this process after every 15-20 puffs.

well, i'm going to replace this carto and start anew. =D i think this one is burnt
but how do i replace the burnt carto with a new one without wasting the e-liquid already in the tank though? the cartomizer from ibtanked seems to have a skirt at the bottom, so i can't just use a drip refill tool and push the old one out with the new one like the video demonstrated vai the slap yo mama drip tool.

    Ocelot Full Tank Carto Swap....

Although I will say, I was never as adept at this as Ocelot...so my new carto ended up flooded. I guess I did it wrong...lol

You'll basically do the swap the same as in the video. Though you'll put the cartos top to top then push instead of top to bottom. Be sure to keep an eye on where the fluid is in relation to the top of your new carto. You don't want to flip the tank until the carto is in far enough it's not going to just flood.

I believe you said you have the refill drip tip. If your tank is an Xl (taller than the drip tip is long) then you can use that on the new carto to help. Any other size tank will be too short and the refilling tip will push the old carto out before it makes contact with the seal on the other side of the tank.
