A nice presentation wouldnt hurt though...bubble wrap....that comment can be applied to all high end (read high priced) APVs for that matter...would be what,$5 cost for manuf?

Along with design costs. They have to pay someone to do that.

In any case, why waste money on pretty packaging, when there is a forum with a few hundred thousand members, most of which proudly proclaim that their product is the best, and only 1-2 threads per month complaining about the packaging. At least, I assume that is the mindset.

i bought an escort passport 9500ix radar detector ($500 retail). when i got it, i remember opening the box, and it was in what reminded me of an oversize watch or jewelry case, full length piano hinge, covered in leather on the outside, flock lined on the inside with all the cutouts for the cord, suction cups, unit itself, i also remember thinking jesus... they could have saved $100 and skipped the fancy case...

a year later, guess what i use the box for..... taking up space.

I don't know about you, but when I get a new device it comes out of the box and into my hand than straight to my mouth never to see its box again! The only time I remove whatever tank or carto I have on it is when it is time to call it a night, and I only do that in case I may get some flooding and do not want to get juice all over my device!

Only thing I thought is they would have put the error codes on a card or something so you can keep it with you. But I just emailed myself a copy of the instruction manual.

+10 on the box. I was like ... but then realized it would have raised the price even more if they gave a nice fancy box, which I trash anyways

Not sure if this was stated, but the good thing is... all the Provari NEEDS is a little bubble wrap to keep it from rattlin around too much and bumpin into your batts or whatever else you've ordered in the box. That says a lot right there... It gets thrown and battered on its way to you, but it needs no extra protection...Mine... 1 year+ and counting... very durable... My Lavatube bit it at about 3-4 months... that would be 4 Lava's a year...240.00... hmmm...

Only my opinion... Good luck all...
