That's sweet bap, I bet it works good. Interested to hear how it goes. I Would like to get some of this hemp fabric sometime. I considered doing this with the viva towels I've been using for diaper wraps on my verticals. The benefit of using the material would be uniformity.

Do you have to wash the fabric like the fiber?

So i have degummed hemp fiber on the way. I have read on here lots but have not seen. Do i need to wash it before i use it? If so how? Thank You all for any help.

soak in oxyclean, preferrably overnight - follow with a few boil and rinse cycles - carefully scoop out of the water and air dry. if oven or microwave is used for drying some of the fluff will get lost and you have to comb out the matted fiber ;)

I didn't wash it so it's rather hempy tasting but it's working fine. Not sure yet if it's any better then the thread in this type setup.

Need to do the oxyclean thing to it. I sure do like the simplicity of just rolling a piece of fabric that could be measured for repeatability.

I just use the oxyclean powder
I did too...but I used too much and the foam overflowed the stainless pot I soaked the hemp in :D

This is the procedure I used as well. Since I was a little paranoid about the Oxyclean, I rinsed the hemp before boiling many times....

That's what is so nice about thread for the traditional TGT setup. I just setup one of my TGT's with a 29g 9 wrap around a 16g needle (~1.6mm) and took 1 strand out of the 12 strand thread and it's working perfect.

I put the 1.2mm air tube back in and I think I either need to adjust the coil height or go back to the 1.5mm air tube.

At the inlaws eating the best homemade Phó now, but I should have some 'fluff' in the mail when I get home to try a spheroid setup in a TGT.

USPS lied and my fluff didn't show up today

But I did manage to fix an annoying problem on one of my FT TGT's. On one of my FT TGT's the chamber sleeve was just a hair loose, so it would spin while tightening the tank on, it was driving me crazy. Half the time it would turn far enough to pull the wicks out. My other FT TGT is just fine.

I tried floss under the o-ring and it was either to tight or the same. So I took a pair pliers that I have heat shrink over the jaws and gave it a very slight squeeze. You can't even tell by looking at it that anything changed, but now it's snug and no turning while tightening down the tank. Very happy now

I like the heat shrink on the pliers idea. I do believe I will borrow that one.

Thanks for the responses friends, I found the 'uber' process earlier in the thread and I've been at it since yesterday. Just realized I don't have baking soda lol. My post oxy clean and boil clump is sitting in peroxide now looking quite sad. Off to the store…that's right BJ, the grocery store! Good thing the wife is at work...

lol, cyrus! it's either oxyclean or hp/bs ;) not necessary to do both!

scooping the hemp carefully out of the last boiling/rinse cycle and letting it air dry preserves most of the fluff
