On the vivi try an oval wick. Use two 2mm drill bits instead of toothpicks, easier to remove coil. I have mine set up with two threads of 1mm hemp and no airflow problems. I drill out the center air hole on all my vivi caps to 1.5mm, if not they all clog up.

Which air hole are you referring to? The top of the atty head? Just trying to figure this out. About to order some hemp and kanthal.

I snipped a little off the silicone gasket and it gave me what I wanted. I will try the oval coil again but I couldn't get it to fit in there without shorting on the top cap, the one that goes right underneath the silicone gasket. I also only have 32g kanthal, I need to try some of the new innovations like 500 mesh and 28 and 30 guage wire. I just haven't got around to it yet.
For now though, I have found vaping bliss on a hemp vivi nova, and I don't want to mess with that lol.

I cut an additional slit in a vivi head, and put 2 extra 1mm hemp wicks in there. It did not turn out well, tight draw, very gurgly and leaky. I feel that if I did it a little differently that it would work awesome, but I'm not sure this head is salvageable I wanted it to work like an iclear.
The reason I attempted this was because wicking started to diminish once the hemp expanded, perhaps I needed to open up the wick slot a little bit?
Does anyone else do this? what drill bit would you use for this? 2mm? 3mm?

Two long wicks wicked too much and soaked up a lot of juice especially in the CE5 that doesn't hold much juice. With hemp I am using a short and a long on all my setups.

Bj in that pic it looks like you have a long wick and a short wick, does this wick better than 2 long wicks?

Oh there's not much method really. i just reproduce it the same way it was setup in the beginning but using hemp wicks instead. Do you get juice traveling up to mouth ainako? I get that quite often and it's starting to bug me a bit now, and I was thinking it might be because I'm using hemp wicks that wicks much better than silica so too much juice going into the atty.
