Wow...just wow. Could someone please add to the rules that Trog and only Trog is allowed to invent new or modify other e-cig related items? This might save some a lot of trouble and thrashing in the posts when their insolence drives them to attempt something that could never in a million years be even close to 1/10 as good as what Trog could do. Thanks!

sorry if Ive upset anyone !!!!

Think you'll find its china that make all the parts from the donor flashlight, atomizers, batteries, chargers, cartidges and fluid most of us use, I've just done the piss easy bit by cutting them up and made what is a battery holder in different shapes.
I couldn't justify paying £100 for a cut off flashlight handle (screwdriver) so I made one myself in two hours,I was looking at the rest of the flashlight when i had finished and thought of a pipe.
It has the added advantage of being easier to hold and has both atomatic and manual switching although I dont expect the vacuum switch from a 901 battery to last that long.
I'm not making anything to sell its just for my own personal use,
The chinese pipe shown has a major problem of being far too heavy to have unsupported in the mouth even the one Ive made is a bit weighty to be ideal.

yep , like i said rob , nice job. I wouldn't go the traditional pipe route myself my dear Watson , but your pipe has that modern gadget look and i do prefer it.

I've mentioned before ( and got flamed for it ) that the screwdriver isn't a feat of engineering and it's quite simply put together, it's the idea behind it that's the selling point. Good for you that you have the equiptment and know-how to make one yourself and done a rather good job looking at it.

Edit: As for the £100 price tag for the screwdriver , i think that reasonable considering what extra's you get with it ( 2 atomizers, 2 batteries , juice, cartridges, charger, support ). If you break it down price wise it's not to bad if you can't knock one up yourself.

i think some people are honest home builders.. good luck to them..

others have their own agendas here.. and it aint honest..

the screwdriver is a successful product which has been compared to the best there is.. its getting a little boring having put much time and thought into producing a product that works and is a sellable commodity seeing the product being likened to something that can be "knock up" in couple of hours.. backed up by some low resolution images..

let me just say that if i wanted to demean and wreck screwdriver sales i would conduct a campaign similar to whats going on here.. the product works too well to do it any other way..

some people are innocent others most certainly are not..

sorry but only telling the truth, obviously you need a lathe and other tooling alot of people dont have but all mine consisted of was cutting a torch in half ,turning 2 peices of aluminium, drilling 4 holes, 3 soldered joints and a new switch (not much for 2 hours work),the skill is not in the making of these it was coming up with the idea and finding suitable donor parts of which was not my doing.
Im not making these to sell it just personal homebrew

awe c'mon Trog , How the hell could this thread demean and wreck screwdriver sales ?
Everyone already knows how it's made and where the donor parts come from. I knew all that but i still bought one.
Another member has already made a similar device using an LED torch with a 901 atomizer. It's just the fact that Rob here has done the same but with the same model torch as the Screwdriver for a donor.

If i was still in the engineering game then you bet your .... i wouldn't have bought one. I would have just copied it.

Rob started this thread to show his handy work. he never mentioned the source for the materials , that was me. Let's not go turning the thread into something it's not.

back to the pipe,
the best feature of this in operation is the pneumatic vacuum switch with manual override, think this could be a good idea to have on other e products, the switch i used came out of a 901 battery, it is very poorly made and doubt it will last very long at all, anyone know where i can find a tiny vacuum switch suitable for this that maybe better made ?

Man when you find one let me know I have looked and looked for a nice one (that is small) - Tried to use it in my Magnum and it lasted like 5 hits and then it fried - Tried it in a USB mod - it fried. There is a decent one in most washing machines but it would have to be mounted in like a box or something and I think the draw would be terrible.
