vaping just don't work for me. Been at it just over a month, tried loads of liquids, from low Nic up to 38mg on a LR Atty but I've got to fall back on my good old RYO's for the real buzz and satisfaction. i find vaping is OK as a part time fill-in gap when a ciggy is out of the question, like a quick drag while driving, or in a no smoking area. I was hoping for more success in giving up the analogues, but find that i enjoy them even more now. Sure, i have cut down, gone from 50 a day down to about 20, the E-cig fills the gaps but i doubt if it will ever be my main source of smoking pleasure, it just don't do the same job. Yes there will always be a place for it in my smokers cabinet for my PV but it will be my second choice of satisfaction, at least until there has been more improvements. I just love a ... hanging on my lip while working.

From what I could gather, most people switched to vaping because they really wanted to quit analogs and many of them, me included, had withdrawal symptoms. Many others switched without any problem so it depends.
You can check the links in my signature, maybe it will help a little if you want to quit the analogs.
If not, I for one understand that, had lots of friends that could not quite switch to vaping.
Missed the analog in my mouth while working too, that passed in a week and so the rest of the desires for an analog.

Good luck!

When you say 'more improvements', can you specify the areas which you think need improved?

I'm just wondering if you've got a bad e-cig. I have no familiarity with the LR whatsoever, but I do know that low vapor production or an atomizer that's not heating properly would greatly diminish my own experience.

I have a good E-cig = Tornado with LR = low resistant Atty. Loads of vapor, a good piece of kit.

OK, by improvements.
1. A very lightweight E-cig with long duration, trouble free
automatic battery. Even my Tornado only runs for 2 hours
consistent vaping.

2. Something that you can hold comfortable in the mouth while working,
with a tip that you can bite on.

3. A liquid that taste like real tobacco, believe me, i have tried many and
got bottles of the stuff, none IMO taste like real tobacco.

4. A cart or liquid supply that will last a few hours. Most i can get is
about 25 Min's constant vaping.

When/if something becomes available, i will try it.

I quit analogs all together a couple weeks before my e cig arrived. Going from patches and nic gum to vaping is the best lol.

That actually helped me become really satisfied with vaping. Without e cigs I would be smoking again.

To make the switch from analogs to vaping still takes will power. It is always going to be easier to light up a cig than to go through all of the online ordering and waiting for supplies to arrive to vape.

Either way at least you cut down on analogs, that's an achievement in itself imo.

Mike, the amount you have cut down by is a lot more than than many have given up what they used to smoke :) So it is working :D

Been vaping for coming up to 2 years & what I've always said right from the start is - count the real cigs you have sopped smoking, not the ones you till smoke! :)

well you are smoking 30 less cigs a day than you used to..

there are soft tips for sale i guess now.. or just get a gripper for a pen and stick it on the end.. as far as battery just get a few of them.. with the amount of cigs you cut that is a battery a day you can buy..

its a bit more work but its helping you not smoke a pack and a half each day.. after a month .. and its not like you can not smoke if you really want a cig go for it.. 20 a day is a lot better than 50

You know what? Vaping's not for everybody - that's why they still make tobacco cigarettes. It's too bad it didn't work out for you, though. I'm not going to tell you what I would have done differently, I just wish you the best of luck. If you change your mind you know where to find us.

Rosa I think it has worked out for Mike - OK maybe not the 100% he may have hoped for but he has cut out 30 real cigs a day & IMHO that';s a great achievement.Well done Mike

Not tried it myself but others have found that using Snus has helped in combo with e-cigs, to finally kick the analogues.

I know, I just didn't want to give him a hard time.

IMO, if he stops vaping now he's going to go back to 50 smokes a day almost immediately - and we all know that's not good. It's a nice idea to think that you, I, we can convince him to try something that might actually work for him (snus and a cartomizer comes to mind) but in reality, he'd probably be asking for help if he wanted any. You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.

Much more diplomatic to not burn his bridges for him, wish him well, and keep the door open in case he changes his mind someday.

Some quit immediately, some a week, some a month, some a year ....
Keep on trucking & looking ... have you tried Halo?

Switching a lot of bats. would not be a big deal to me, but charging them ...

We are all different!

I was a 50 a day RYO smoker. Never pre-rolled and never with filters.
I hear what you are saying. I found these things worked for me:
I don't use a mod or a bigger battery because of the weight factor.
I use a 510 standard and treat the battery changes and juice filling just as I used to have to stop and roll another cigarette. For me, that was an important part of smoking, the ritual of preparing my next one.
Gripping it in my mouth was important too so I started using the flat tips from a 901, that worked a treat. (they fit straight on)
As for the tobacco flavours, I tried them all and didn't like them but am now so hooked on all the tasty flavours out there that I don't notice. (Rose is a favourite of mine at the moment)
When I'm relaxing I use a 601 pipe and really enjoy it.
I really hope you find something that works for you but, if not, at least you've cut back.

Like Marilyn Monroe said in Some Like It Hot "I can quit anytime I want to. I just don't want to." She was talking about drinking, not smoking, but it still applies.

I'm like you. I love smoking. I have no intention of quitting. And if you don't want to - you're not going to. E-cigs are great though. They have so many wonderful flavors. You can use them when you can't smoke. And they do tide you over, so that you don't have to run out for a pack at 2am.

So if your e-cig is doing what you want it to do - enjoy it. Don't let all the "I quit on the very first day" comments get to you. But, hey, now you know that when and if you do want to quit smoking, you'll be able to with few problems.

Rosa, if you mean Rose Water?? Vapor Station has it and it's gotten at least one good review. :)

Thanks! I just found rose flavored juice at freedom2vape. (they have honey flavor too!)

Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for juice from 2 other vendors at the moment  so I guess I'm keeping it on the list for next time.
