Just ordered an Alpha Ultra...

I'm excited for this mod. I've been looking for a new mod for a while now and have read many great reviews about the Alpha Ultra and the pictures of this thing just look awesome, sort of like a lightsaber! I can't wait to get it and give it a try!

Congrats on your purchase. You won't be disappointed. Be sure to read up on all of the tips and tricks for it, they can drastically help out with the learning curve that you hear about with the alphas. If you have any questions feel free to let me know.

Got home from NYE in Nashville today and my Ultra was waiting for me. When I opened the package, I couldn't believe how small the Ultra was. I thought there was no way this thing can produce decent vapor. I put in a battery, attached a 501 LR carto and took a hit. Whoa! This thing is amazing! Definitely the smallest mod in my arsenal but I see it becoming one of my faves! If this is how it hits at 3.7, I'm very interested in trying it out a 6v! Thanks for an awesome little device!! I'll also be trying out the RES as soon as the funds replenish themselves....

Yeah it really is pretty amazing how small they are. But they do pack quite a punch! I would definitely save your money for the RES, paired together they are quite wonderful. Keep us updated on how you are liking it. Welcome to the family!

I thought I read somewhere that the Ultra can do 6v with a different battery. I could be very wrong though, I did read a ton before buying and while waiting for it to get to me...

It can do 6.4v by stacking 14250s but the battery life will be absolutely dismal.

Thanks for the info..6v to me is generally a bit too much, but every once in a while I crave that punch to the mouth so a short battery life wouldn't be a tragedy to me....

We have batteries for the Ultra that allow you to vape at 6v. It's true that they don't last too long in between charges. But they aren't made for that, they are really for people that like that occasional 6v vaping, which they are great for. If someone is really into 6v vaping then I would suggest the UltraMax hands down.
