Good idea to cancel the blu. It's pretty and everything, but just doesn't function all that well.
I started with a blu, then 510 passthrough and 510 cartos, then a 510, now an ego with a lr atty.
I got fed up with the temperamental pcc that came with my 510. Now with the ego, I just carry one battery as a back up and rarely have to use it.

The blu order went through. Guess when I finally get it, I'll try it. Send it back if it's not satisfactory. I'm not much of a heavy smoker, more of a social smoker.

Make sure you keep all the packing materials, and send it back with the online RMA form with delivery confirmation. Also, make sure that you return the Blu kit so that they RECEIVE the kit within 30 days of the original order.

So, if you ordered it on July 15, they must receive the package by August 14. Thus, you really have about 3 weeks to try it out and make a decision.

I sent mine back and they received it 28 days after the date of my original order, and they refunded the full amount paid, even though I used all of the cartridges supplied. So, even though they have a crappy product, at least they are honorable folks.

Eh, who knows, the Blu may work out ok. As a heavy smoker, there's just no way that something like that could work for me. Not enough power, and too fiddly.

But for a social smoker... it may well do. The impression I got off the Blu when I tried it wasn't that it was an awful product, just that it wasn't consistent enough or high-performing enough for a heavy smoker. And it's a bit over-priced.

But it tastes nice, and if you're only having to use it occasionally, the fiddling may not bother you too much. Who knows.

I haven't tried the 510, but I have heard of very few people ever being disappointed with it.

The combination of a Blu and a 510 is a pretty good way to get started in my opinion. I started with a disposable, then a 510, then a Volcano (similar to the Blu). The 510 is much easier for a new vaper to get the hang of and is a lot more forgiving. The Blu has a larger learning curve. It takes at least a day to break in the atty maybe longer and they should send an apology with the factory carts.

On either of them, be sure you get some juice and start filling your own carts. The stock polyfill in the 510 carts is probably ok, not the best but should work for the time being, eventually you'll want to change that out with either the HighPing mod or blue foam or the PTB mod. Ditch the polyfill from the Blu carts, it doesn't work, too inconsistent. I use blue foam with mine and juice that's 70/30 PG/VG. Makes a world of difference.

I bought a Blu E-cig kit too before I found this forum too. After a week, the charge on the batteries started lasting only 10mins and the USB charger had both red and blue lights showing at the same time. The Personal Charging Case worked fine but I sent the whole kit back for the refund within 30 days and sure hope I get it.
I've learned enough from this forum that I now have a 510 with the 5v pass through and an EGO along with making my own "Root Beer" flavored liquid.

You will be very happy with a 510 or maybe an EGO kit as they seem to be the most popular to start with.

Browse the forums here and find a model that you like and a good vendor with Priority Shipping and you'll be vaping within 3 days. :vapor:

Ya what they said, its not good. It was my first purchase and not remotely functionable.
They have a very easy money back guaruntee that I took advantage of, if its too late to cancel.

I hear it can be made somewhat funtionable if you use it with a 510 atty and cart, so not all is lost.

Once you take a look at the blu atty and cart compared to the 510 atty and cart, you will laugh.

I did love the solid construction of the batteries though from a cosmetic point of view, and the LED is far superior to others...but still.

For some reason when I ordered my Blu (I live not even an hour from where they send it out, same state, next county over) They sent it from Charlotte, NC, all the way to Atlanta GA and back up to Charlotte, NC, then to me.... Why they do this? No clue... classic case of going around your elbow to get to your ____. Fill in the blank.

Got mine in about 5 days ago... would send it back if I didn't think it'd make a passable backup for my, which should hopefully be arriving today, new e-cig.

The Blus are pretty much as everyone's said here... the cartridges suck (you'll be lucky to get 20 hits off of them before they stop working), and the batteries are terrible. I get about 15-20 mins from a charge... it's pretty sad.

IF you need something for a trip to the store, or if you're just out and about for a few minutes here and there... it's probably not going to be that bad for you. But using them as your daily (at home/work/etc) smoke... no good.

That said... the MAIN problem I have with them is the cartridge... they're just terrible. But, if you refill them yourself, they work a LOT better... but you're still going to be hindered by the battery life. After a refill my carts last much longer... and actually will go through 3 battery charges. Granted, that's not saying much, but it's better than how they come from the factory.

And just to nitpick... they flavors they come with... not that great. The Classic Tobacco and Menthol (even though I normally hate menthol...) are the best of the bunch. The Java tastes like crap, the cherry is weak at best, and the vanilla sucks for more than just taste alone. The vanilla flavored carts were the worst of the bunch as far as vapor went, I don't know why, but I barely got anything from them.

Style wise, they're great. I love their pack and the overall look of the cigarette. But I just don't think battery technology is up there enough yet to have a package that small and still have good battery life.

So, they're easily a 10/10 for form... but a 4/10 for function in my book... hopefully you'll like them better though. Try out BOTH batteries AND vaporizers though. Mix and match and keep track because I talked to their customer service and they said that having a bad vaporizer or battery in the pack isn't that uncommon.

My Tornado should be here today... I hope, and I'll hopefully be done with the battery shuffle that I've been forced into because of the BluCigs. I can't wait to get something that'll finally be a viable replacement for analog cigarettes.

EDIT: I about forgot the shipping... terrible. They use another company it seems to route through to USPS. Because of tracking, I was able to see where my e-cig went in it's 5 day trek here. I'm in Nashville... the thing left Florida, went right on past me to Memphis where it sat for 2 days until tracking was transfered to USPS, and it was here 2 days after that. But I live RIGHT off of 70... it went right by my house on it's way to Memphis (for some unknown reason). Had they just shipped straight USPS, it would've been here about 3 days quicker. Plan ahead with your orders if you decide to keep order carts from them, you'll want to order about a week in advance. For me, I just went to Johnson Creek's site and ordered their e-liquid sampler and it was here in 2 days... I've been using that to refill carts.
