In your bushes, watching you undress
Well, not to rain on your parade, but when you look over all the threads on ECF concerning PureSmoker, or Steve/Casey personally... you'll find that you are very much in the minority.

No one is perfect, and certainly Steve & Casey do not claim to be, but if an issue arises, they inform all of us via ECF or Twitter as soon as they know. If is a specific problem to just one customer, they reach out to them personally.

It's not their fault that you did not comprehend the term pre-order, or that when you bought your Protege you didn't catch on to the very clearly stated the wait time. You yourself admitted to Casey (yet left this info out on your rant) that you didn't pay attention to the statement about the wait.

Go order most any good mod, and there is a wait. It sucks, but that's the way it is.

Luckily PureSmoker's over-the-top customer service is recognized here, and one lonely rant will not soil their well-known reputation.

I understand that IF you were not getting email responses (which apparently you WERE, but lied about it), you might feel compelled to post here on ECF to get their attention, but it's one thing to shed light on an issue in hopes of a resolution, but quite another to go bashing them for your mistakes and shortcomings. It seems to me that you didn't want just a resolution... you wanted to make a spectacle, and you certainly achieved your goal.

Now take your refund and place a pre-order for another device. Please note that pre-order means it is not in stock, and there will be a delay in shipping. Yes... from pretty much everyone on pretty much every device.

If it said "in stock now" and you ordered it and PS sat on your money, then you have the right to ...... Since it did say 2-3 weeks (that's what I seen) Then expect that. I waited a hell of a lot longer than that for another "super e-cig" but I knew it was a pre-order, so it was no big deal. Everyone has the cheesey China models so if you want to spend a lot of money for something you can get in 2 days and hate it,then by all means get that. Pissing & moaning on a post in front of all just showed all of us you can't read.

I placed an order for a PT on Oct 12. I totally missed that they were pre-order (wasn't paying attention, because I knew they'd been out for a while).

On the 15th, when I hadn't received a shipping notice, I used their ticketing system to ask what the waiting time was, and Casey promptly replied and told me it was 2-3 weeks.

Was I happy? Well... I wasn't jumping for joy, but I understood a few things:

1) It's my fault I didn't see the delay on the order page,

2) Casey promptly replied and told me about the delay,

3) I know it will be worth it when it gets here.

Past business dealings with Puresmoker give me nothing but confidence that as soon as they have it to ship to me, they will. They are the only company that I will knowingly pre-order from. It doesn't bother me that I unwittingly did so. That doesn't keep me from anxiously awaiting my shipping notification though :)

In defense of the OP, he basically would just like better communication which I would have to agree with.

I went through the same feelings when I pre-ordered my Prodigy, but like others my requests fell on deaf ears. So I just waited until it came. Don't take me wrongly, I love the product but the communication is/was horrible.

I pre-ordered a Protege on Oct 7th (20 days ago) and still have not received an update on my status. Is it still 2-3 weeks? Am I any closer than I was 3 weeks ago? If so, how would I know? I signed up for a Twitter account thinking I would get better updates, and then laughed at myself for doing so after getting 2 vague updates the last 3 weeks.

I am not looking for answers to my questions, I already have the mindset of "When it comes, it comes", I just feel bad for new people who have to go through this ordeal.

Like I said, the products I have ordered are the best around, but the updates/communication is not.

I have a big chuck, 5volt GLV and a GGT/AFS all on order right now and haven't seen any of them yet but I do want them extremely bad but I was smart enough to read up before I purchased. To the OP, next time handle yourself a little better. Send a PM.

How would you like to answer the same email day in and day out with the same question... "When" When they are ready!,, that's when>>> Get in line and wait like the rest of the people waiting. Impatient people to the back of the line and the last to get answers to daunting email requests. And for the twitter thing.. why would you sign up for an account when you can just go to the PS site and see updates there? And when there is nothing to update then there is NOTHING to update. I personally would not like to read a page full of not today updates. Not today, Not today, Not today... Come on guy get real.

I see why Casey goes to kick boxing now!! Poor thing. Taking this kind of BS is not in her job description for sure.

You don't. You just post a daily update in a locked, sticky update thread. Even if it just says "Nothing New Today".

I wish PS all the best and I will continue to use and LOVE my PS products. I just will NOT be coming to this forum any more.

Or at least for an hour anyway. :p

Make a bad situation worse, brilliant!

And for the twitter thing.. why would you sign up for an account when you can just go to the PS site and see updates there?

Does it really matter? It's not getting updated regularly anyways.

I personally would not like to read a page full of not today updates. Not today, Not today, Not today... Come on guy get real.

So don't read it. But just going by the huge amount of people here begging for an update, a little daily update wouldn't hurt. Even if it said not today.

I figured I would get bashed by the PS cheerleaders here, but I just wanted to let the newbies know the way that PS goes about updates on here or twitter. Not often.

And on a side note, If there was an option to pre-order and pay when the product is ready to ship out, you would see a different attitude and speed. Just sayin...

Rah rah rah.... Goooo PS!

I've had nothing but great service so far and every one of my 3 or 4 emails/tickets got answered within a very short period of time. Hell even one night I put in a ticket at 11:00 and got a reply back at 11:35 PM which is way past their regular working hours I'm sure. IMO this thread is ridiculous and totally over dramatic to say the least.

Dude, you are so wrong on so many levels it makes my head hurt.

As for your last bit of foolishness, PS knows full well (they've been doing this awhile) that a lot of people won't order til the product is ready to ship. And when it's a new product, like the ProdigyV2, a lot of people (like me!) won't order til it's out and they've seen a few reviews.

It doesn't take much for brains to bash people. You can find a way criticize anything and everyone on Earth. If that's what gets you off, fine. But ask yourself why you do it. Does it make you feel superior somehow?

lotus14,

That's just what trolls do. They enjoy the attention.

Kevin

I'm not looking for attention, and if you read the whole thread you would understand that. I am just agreeing with the OP.

You call it trolling, I call it telling the truth.

The vague answer here is always "2-3 weeks", well I have been waiting for 3 weeks now, do you think it's unfair for me to get an update on how much longer I have to wait?

Once again, I own a Prodigy and a PT with a Protege on order. The product is great. It's the communication I would like to see improved.

How is that foolishness? That was exactly my point, once a company (insert any company here) has your money you are at their mercy.

Now if they didn't have my money yet, I'm sure I would have had a few updates on how much longer it would be, cause they wouldn't want to lose the sale.

I have not bashed anyone. I was trying to help. Sorry you can't see that.

I think it's ridonkulous to criticize PS's customer service. Anyone feel like ordering with JantyUSA lately? And as for the stock updates being updated daily...if there isn't an update posted, there is no news...if PS has information, they will post it...so if you don't see an update, take it for granted there is no information being stored deep in an underground bunker that Casey is hiding from you. If anyone has to read a twitter or forum update every day that says "still no updates" they need to put on their big kid undies and grow up

LOL, I'm sure PS is just as eager to ship and get all their parts back in stock as we are to receive our orders. It was all pretty much openly explained/discussed here on the forum and of course mentioned in big red letters on the front of the web site about the pre-order situation. It's a market without precedent and I suspect the logistics of getting all the parts is challenging. The wait times for the other really nice looking PV mods are pretty much equivalent, and even when parts are in, each one has to be prepared and assembled by hand.

I an keeping my fingers crossed that my remaining failing stock 510 batteries can hold up a little while longer.
