I have had the vamo v2 for a few days now. I have used a vivi nova on it for a day and a kanger pro tank for a day. This thing is a monster, havn't even gotten it off 3v and it out vapes anything I own. It sure does darken the juice in the tank fast though. Is this normal?

It's the juice gunk that's on the coil that's intermingling with the juice in the tank. Depending on the thickness and darkness of your juice you may want to wash the tank and wick every so often. Washing cleans the wick and tank. Dry burning the coil turn the juice gunk into ash- wash afterwards.

Ah yes, I thought maybe it was burning it... First tank full was always good, but second got really dark so I swapped and it did it again. they came with a couple heads so I can rotate them while washing and drying. Unless I can use alcohol, that would speed it. Is that safe to use.
Sorry, not trying to derail the thread.

The Vivi Nova wicks from the top. That means that the lighter molecules are drawn in first. So by the time you are done the bottom of the tank is filled with thicker darker sediment. You should empty the tank when you are low and refill.

The Kanger ProTank on the other hand shouldn't have that problem because the coil is on the bottom. If you are experiencing it, you may be vaping at too high a temperature and burning your juice or coil.

If it's the juice than there are juices that are designed for higher temperature vaping.
I'm not sure if Higher PG or VG is better.

Possibly an expert can chime in.

The last setting on the Vamos should give you a choice of Mean or RMS [If it's like the Zmax] choose RMS for a gentler vape.

I ordered my VAMO from high desert vapes after I saw a link ibezee posted for the kit sunday night well technically it was monday around 2am. The shipment status still just says awaiting fulfillment and it been almost a week no emails as of yet:glare:.. on the 3rd I also ordered these batteries that I think Vapoor eyes er suggested to someone, Amazon.com: 4pcs Panasonic CGR18650CH 3.6 Volt Li-ion shipping free 18650 Battery 2250 mAh: Everything Else
and this charger ibezee linked me to
http://www.electronicstix.com/collections/mod-battery-chargers/products/nitecore-intellicharge-i4 and a vivi nova tank. my charger and tank from electronicstix will be here tomorrow and the batteries will be here by tuesday.. I dunno why why HDV is taking so long to get my stuff together but at least I'll have everything before it ever gets here I guess.. side note, electronicstix is probably the fastest ecig shipping place I've ever ordered from. Until then I'll be rocking my EgoT with a ce4 and some delicious wisconsin frost :vapor:.

I'm guessing your talking about watts? I just moved it over, I was at the lowest voltage setting of 3v. I was getting a better flavor on the watts. It a 50/50 blend and it's fairly sweet. When the tank was low I just topped it off, it is about half full and I think I'm gonna dump it swap and wash the coil. Starting to get thick and taste a little burnt and funny. It reads 2.5 ohms and set at 4.5 watts now.

You can vape using the watts or volts on RMS and Mean. Its just a matter of which one you prefer.

The charger that came with the kit is very cheap looking. Any recommendations on a replacement? Say, $25 or less?

I have been happy with an intellicharger i2 (2 bays for charging different sized Batts). Got it delivered from amazon for around 24 quatloos.

ETA: there are several charger related threads on these forums arguing the merits of several brands and models. I chose a model that met my needs at a price I was happy with.

hello everyone.. i don't smoke cigaretts but my father does and i'm trying to get him to at least switch to e-cigs to start...

sorry for the noobness but any help is appreciated...

my father smokes american spirits (teal/blue) box.... he's smoking 10 cigarettes on average a day

Please advise if i'm ordreing this correctly so that when I receive this he can start vaping correctly.

My order was going to be:

the v2 kit plus tobacco juice (50/50 ?) @ 24 mil nic... (is 24mils too high?)

would this give him the most similar nic level he's getting now?

is there anything else I should order?

also, is 50/50 a good mix for a first time vapor who's trying to get the cigarette exp (i think half the battle is mentally seeing the smoke)

thanks for taking the time to read and helping ! :)

Hey John Alexander go to ElectronicStix.Com · Welcome and find the nitecore i4. Perfect charger for under $25.

Yup! That's where I got mine too. Free shipping on orders over $20 so perfect! A MUCH faster charger than my old trustfire tr-001 (now stored as a backup).

By the way, I finally had to use the charger that came with the kit and the red light never turned green. In fact, after I left it charging (too long), the red light finally started flashing. I Googled the model number and it seems there have been a lot of problems with these chargers not shutting down when the battery is fully charged. (Causes "venting," whatever that is. Also, flashing is not a good sign, either, they say.) The problem is with model KV-VV18350. It overcharges the batteries beyond their capacity. Don't know if this is dangerous, but it's not good for the battery, they said.

Intellicharger on the way, so I'll vape slowly until it arrives.

EDIT: Just found these pictures of the unit and it exploding (scroll down)...

If you need to recharge nothing wrong with charging your 18650s for 5? hrs and then removing from charger. Yes overcharging breaks down the structure within the battery...posted something technical awhile ago and should've saved it.
