Hello all seniors!

I was so excited (after almost a month of reading and researching) to finally get my innokin AIO PCC e cig. I also order some popular flavors like the RY4 and Caramel Popcorn. The draw was ok and i think i will be able to get use to it.

Here's the disappointing part, the flavors totally put me off and made me feel like puking! I couldn't take anymore of it and i put my ecig aside until i get some new flavors.

I am a Marlboro Ultra lights smoker and i was hoping that some seniors here are able to advise me on which flavors i should go for. I know it won't be exactly identical to analogs and everyone has their own taste blah blah blah, but atleast something "vap-able"? Would appreciate some recommendations.

Btw, could it be any other thing that is putting me off vaping? I read somewhere about people getting allergy to PG and VG? or something

Thank you all

When I first started vaping, I learned in a hurry that most tobacco flavored ejuice was disgusting. You're never going to find a flavor that actually tastes like a lit cigarette. And let's face it..... Why would you want to? When you really think about it, cigarette smoke doesn't actually taste GOOD.

Try as many sample sized flavors from as many vendors as you can. Stay away from tobacco flavors. If you're a coffee drinker, there are a lot of amazing coffee flavors out there. If you're a soda drinker, chances are there is a vendor that has a flavor close to your favorite. There are a lot of sweet flavors out there as well. Like waffles? Yup. It's an ejuice flavor. Bacon? That too. Peanut butter, candy..... There's almost no end to it. Some companies like Vapor Renu actually let you select how much flavor you want.

Like I said, order in sample sizes whenever possible until you find something you truly like. That will help save money in the long run.

I had that ill feeling with pg heavy juice and realized I'm sensitive to anything over 20% pg. I would also get sick with nicotine above 18mg. Try reducing the nic level with some vg liquid maybe? I've converted about 20 people now and the liquid flavor/mix/strength can be a daunting hurdle to overcome for someone new to it. Often more important than the hardware issues. I'd rather vape my favorite homemade juice from a blu than Dekang anything from my VV outfit.

The point is, don't give up! Somewhere out there is your sweet spot that will satisfy you far more than a cigarette ever did. You also have to give your tastebuds time to adjust to actually being able to taste anything properly as you quit the analogs. My first "favorite" soon turned into hatred for me as my sense of taste returned and I gravitated towards more subtle liquids that could be used on an all-day basis.

well i know there are lots of vendors out there that do 100%vg but at the moment only Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids comes to mind they have a purity line --- start at 100%vg and work your way up if this is the problem --- as stated above nic lvl may be too much also --- would start at 12mg(or half of what you ordered) and work up or down from there --- also you may want start with a pear flavor or something only slightly sweet --- noticed things too sweet made me rather nauseous so welcome fellow senior to the world of vaping

I am a huge sweet and chocolate lover, so 3 weeks ago when I was getting ready to start vaping I order lots and lost of that kind of juice.

I soon found out for me it was all wrong, I felt the same as you, I wanted to puke
So I found out that I loved the cigarette flavour juice, the Dr Pepper (my favourite) and the mint flavoured juice.
Everyone is different, you just need to find the one for you and you will be fine.

Hi Mugen, welcome to the ECF!
Where are your juices from? Are they Chinese Degang? Personally I can't vape ANY of their juices! I started vaping several years ago, but could never like it. Only when I changed to American gourmet ejuices about a year ago, did I start to love vaping and quit all cigarettes for good! My favorite vendor is VaporGod!

By the way, I see you are from Malaysia truly Asia (my home away from home :)), do you belong the the Malaysian Vapers Corner Facebook group?

I'll assume that Dekang liquids are the easiest to get in Malaysia, so I'll recommend these:

Mild 7
Gold & Silver
SEC Tobacco (Kent)
Tobacco
Turkish Blend
Congress (Parliament)

These are the US names, but they could well be different in the Asian market.

You can make blends of flavors to suit your taste, also combine VG and PG liquids for increased throat hit or better vapor production.

Coming from Malaysia myself, I'd say that yeah, the easiest to get e-liqs over here are from Dekang/Hangsen followed by Tasty Vapor (which is for some unknown reason quite popular here).

Anyhow, myself I can't get used to chinese e-liqs, and the locally imported TV blend gives me coughing fits so I tried out the local blenders. Truth be said, some of them are not bad taste wise.

Personally I vape stuff from Bancho (google Bancho E-Liquid) and IMHO his Sour Fuze (amongst others) is great. He also does tailoring of liquids (vg/pg ratio, nic levels) so you can experiment if you think you're not so keen on PG.

I`ll second Congress being a close substitute for a "Light" cig, very close (to me at least) to Parliment/Marl Light. That said I`m not too fond of it but we`re all different, to me I get the best tobacco kick from the "Turkish" style flavors of which there are several great ones.

Guys, thanks for all the replies.

Because of my locality, its a bit difficult to try many of the different juices recommended, however, i shall not give up and try to get my hands on whatever i can to quit smoking.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was like a retail shop or cafe where they would sell all sorts of mixes and juices for us to try and find something we like. maybe in my dreams.
If anyone in Malaysia or Asia knows of such a place, please please let me know. haha...

I'm going to give Dekang's Congress a try next.

Maybe also try some fruit/menthol/fruit and menthol flavors (if the vendors you are able to order from carry those). You never know. I also wanted something that tasted of tobacco and the only one I found that was actually very good is an American vendor. So you probably will not be able to order from them :(. You may surprise yourself with fruit flavors, though. So try some of those as well.

Welcome to ECF, there are a lot of good people here who will help you in any way they can. I, too, am fairly new to all this as I've only been vaping about five months now. I doubt I can help you with specific vendor/ flavor combinations from Stateside, but there are a few eliquids I have tried that seem to replicate the true flavor pretty well; Vanilla (several vendors can do vanilla), Butterscotch, Caramel or Caramel Cream, Banana and something called Waffle( but tastes like Maple Syrup). I avoid tobacco flavors (my choice) and the few Coffee Flavors I've tried just don't get it for me. This ol' trucker loves his (real) coffee ! Also, anything over 30% PG tends to light-up my throat and sinuses. Some prefer Throat Hit or (TH), I do not. Try a few sweet and/or pastry flavors at or near 100% VG. Just don't give up ! After 40 years of 2-pack-a-day, Vaping has been a revelation for me, and I hope it works for you too !

I pretty much switched to sweeter stuff like cakes and milkshake style juices but I feel you on nasty backo flavors! A lot of them plain ol' suck! Took me months to find some decent ones so here's my Backo lineup

Backwoods Brew: Hunters Blend, Maple Tobacco, 555, Casablanca
Alien Visions: Blend 4, 555
AltCig: Bob's Crave Cutter
Halo: Prime 15
Elixir E Liquid: RY4

Like WillieB69 posted, don't be afraid to go for sample bottles and try out other flavors. Backo's got boring for me pretty quick once I found out that it was more of a mental thing... Trying to achieve a cig. taste wasn't what I was really after. It was Throat Hit and vapor production from a juice alone that was my issue. I let my taste buds do the talking after I tried all the great TASTY juice that's out there. Hope you find what your looking for.

I just realized your in Malaysia... I don't know if any of the Vendors I listed ship internationally but hey... It's worth a shot.
