How large were the bottles? Also one of the flavors literally has alcohol in the name could the smell somehow be associated with the flavoring used, rather than mixing agents?

Also you never mention actually trying the juice, just that it smelled bad, as crazy as it sounds did you actually try to vape it? Or did you just smell it, steep it, smell it and pitch it?

I just ask because every sample i've tried had been amazing from sweet stuff to their tobaccos, literally made juices from other popular slightly cheaper vendors seem like vaping chemicals.

To each their own but i wouldnt give up on HHV quite yet.

Love your avater and quote,''face down the gutter in the USA.''

I keep trying to find people that like what I have liked, and then try what they liked.
It's hard to baseline these things, what I may find a little dry, someone else will find too sweet.
What I find too harsh, others will try it and look for more TH.
Add flavor shots, pg/vg ratio and mg levels, and thing get really muddy really quick.
I wish I could say that I loved everything I have every gotten. But I can't.
I do have a group set aside for when I have vapors tongue and can't taste anything. (no sense wasting the good stuff then)

I wouldn't judge a vender based on just a couple of Flav's
I try to check as many reviews as I can an look for constancy as best as possible in a description
and try a few before coming to a conclusion
from what I've see HHV is most known for tobaccos and a few other flavs
the rest I've seen mixed reviews
I have 2 steeping now and will try at least 3 more even if I don't like these 2

I'm sorry your experience with HHV didn't meet your expectations. I personally haven't tried them yet but have heard a lot of good things and plan on trying them soon. On a related note, I've yet to find a 'butter rum' I like. I like the 'butter rum' flavored lifesavers but the 'butter rum' flavor leaves me cold.

This has been mentioned before, but is there really a need to create a thread to tell everyone you didn't like a vendor's juice? Do you know how much $$ I wasted on juice I didn't like? Didn't feel the need to create posts about them, though.

It's a mantra here. "Taste is subjective". What some people rave about, you may hate. I take about "this much" (picture my thumb and pointer fingertips pressed tightly together) stock in juice reviews.

Freedom of speech, yada yada, I'm down. But why would one feel the need to create a thread just to tell us you didn't care for a juice? I'm sorry you were let down, but there's a million other juice vendors out there. Try until you find something you like.

I've only used her Purity line NET's, but I've learned they need to steep. A long time.

A lot of people complain, "why should I have to steep a juice to truly enjoy it?"

or

"Just steep it" is an excuse to defend a (what you feel) is a crappy juice.

No, no, it's not an excuse, and yes, there's a reason for it. Pre-steeped juice just tastes better. Freshly made juice may taste like something one day, and two weeks later, completely different the next. It's just like wine, stews, etc.

Vapers who don't "get" steeping, don't think it's real, or won't give it a chance, well, that's your loss. I love, love, LOVE HHV's Dragon's Fire, but I've learned it tastes the BEST after at least three weeks of steeping.

It's not an excuse, it's a real thing, you will understand in time.

Not that I have the right to respond for the OP, but to defend his position for a moment, it seems most people who post about their disappointment in a vendor, do so because there is a lot of hype surrounding it. I suppose this sort of thing could be helpful for someone wanting to try those two flavors based off their personal tastes AND hype surrounding the vendor.

I just got my first order from HHV a couple of days ago and I must say that the juices smell and taste exactly like their real-world counterparts would - for someone looking for a candied butter rum or a soft, bakery type vanilla, these might not be the best choices.

I completely understand the sentiment behind your post, and I don't disagree completely. I just feel that an informative post about a particularly hyped vendor might be warranted from time to time.

For the OP - I've tried two of my six juices so far - blueberry muffin and sinful pear. For me, these are both spot on. As I said earlier, they both taste and smell as close to the real thing as I can imagine. Good luck finding your wife a juice! :toast:

Vapors tongue, perfect meatphor.

You gotta find the right liquid. As previously stated, sample packs are a great idea. ≈$20.00 per kit. My personal favorite is huntsman from HHV. I made a page for liquids VAPOR RECIPES BY MIX MASTER D
It may not help, but I hope it does......

It is certainly subjective. Among my favorite flavors are HHV blueberry muffin, cin city and mocha java smooth. I also really like a few high caliber flavors like cinnamon bun, strawberry and grape. I have spent so much trying just about every juice I could find a recommendation on. There are also some that are highly recommended that I just can't stand for instance every MVB flavor tastes like perfume to me, Alt-Cig are all like inhaling a bar of butter. But many people like their juices. It is all a matter of personal choice.

Well I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment. That's a drag, pun totally intended. I really like Heathers tobacco, but if baccy is not your thing, then maybe its not the best fit for you.

I've been trying a lot lately, and one that really really impressed me was deadly sin from goodlife vapor. Actually its one of three out of the 80 or so flavors I own that I would actually order again. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just really excited to finally find a good one, and wanted to share.

I have a big time sweet tooth, and being a somewhat new vapor, I feel I need stronger more complex flavors so I can actually taste them. This one does it for me in every way. I. Love. It.

But as its been said, taste is subjective and this is just my two cents.

Good luck finding what you're looking for.

Finding juice you love is the hardest part for me. Also being consistent is also a problem. I also find my taste changing a bit since I stopped smoking analogs completely. I'm a fan of HHV, but Legend and Huntsmen taste different to me these days.

I used to get more of a pipe tobacco flavor then I do now for some reason. I guess you try and grab a half dozen flavors you love to have on hand at any time and try some samples to build a core of go to juice. You can always try and trade the juice for something else in the vendor forum threads.

I've yet to find a vendor who had very many flavors I liked. If I made up my mind based on only two juices from every vendor I've tried I might not have ever found anything I liked. You mention them winning awards, but neither of the juices you tried were part of those awards they won. It's like buying AVE juice not named Boba's Bounty or Gorilla Juice and then complaining they don't live up to the hype.

"Copper Creek's House Blend won an award so I tried their Grape flavor but it sucked".

Yup, taste is subjective. What vapes good to me is crap to someone else (and vice versa).

Now I do like HHV, but not everything I've gotten from there, some things I've tried remind me of wet dog. Not that I've licked a wet dog, but it tastes like how I think a wet dog would taste.

I think steeping is a hassle, but I do it because, for me, it makes a difference.

Just keep trying, have patience and try to stay off the analogs.
