I was inspired by this thread and tried to glue up my 2 broken stone drip tips. Found a recommendation to use either 2 part epoxy or superglue. Had some epoxy lying around and gave it a shot. One of them worked, the join didn't hold on the other. Might just be a matter of cleaning it up better. I'll try again later with superglue.

Here's the one that worked. I think it's amber. Not sure what all the crud on the tank is, it looked quite clean.

I remember having a discussion about repair of tips and cracked plastic tanks a few years ago. The consensus was not to use superglue and there was a product recommended as safer/better to use but I can't remember the name of it at the moment. I have some somewhere packed away. I will try to find it but in the meantime, you might want to start a thread about it to see if someone can tell you what it was.

I have used gorilla glue on some but not sure if that is considered safe on something that is used for inhaling.

    These are my favorite:

$4.58 Resin + Stainless Steel Hybrid 510 Drip Tip - 20mm / random colors at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Every time I do a Fasttech order I will usually throw a couple of these in my cart.

I've ordered a few tips from this ebay seller. Quality and service has been excellent.

Lots of fun drip tips there! I see buying drip tips can get expensive too.

I did wonder about the safety angle. But in this case it's a crack a few mm's long on the inside of the drip tip, which should be almost completely closed after it's repaired. Seems like the amount of toxic stuff that could escape would be pretty tiny. And it only took a couple of drops of glue.

Might be. I think that's silicone based, and we use a bunch of silicone already.
It's definitely non toxic. Had a leak in my 55 gallon tank and didn't even have to empty it to use the glue. Fish and snails were fine.

Some sights will accept a color choice in the comments at checkout. They seldom post that option so it's hit or miss from vendor to vendor.

I’ll have to give that a try when/if I order some from the guy on eBay you linked too.

I’m not so sure about the Chinese sites though.

Mr. Fritter has drop downs that let you pick the color. They are numbered and the pic will change to the # you choose. Here's a couple bad pics of some I've gotten.

I can tell you without a doubt if FastTech says "Random", random is what you get. :(
I've requested a color a couple times from ft and gotten the color I asked for. Maybe it depends on what employee pulls the order.

Actually ft is one that's pretty good about giving you the color you request.

Serves me right for saying that. I was actually thinking about the Chinese sites in EBAY but I’ll give it a shot.

I mentioned I ordered 2 pretty 810 wide bore dts and they only fit a couple of my attys for some reason. That’s why I’m gun shy about spending $8-20 on a tip I can’t return.

Speaking of eBay, my PayPal account got hacked thru them to the tune of $2300 today  !! Fortunately I’ve got every security notice on every account on the web so I was alerted when it happened. I was alerted though. My bank thought it looked suspicious and it’s over the amount I get notifications for. So they never got the money. It was an electronics/computer sale.

Jeesh I can buy a lot of fun vape Shinys for $2300 !!F computer stuff lol!!

I don't keep any money in my pp account. When I receive money I immediately transfer it to my bank.

I don’t keep money in it either. It comes from checking account which I will only keep a few hundred bucks in for prevention in case it gets hacked.

Needless to say I changed my passwords to both EBay and PayPal. It’s good to know that some security measures do work though. Occasionally.

How’s Junebug? All the kittens out yet? Poor gal must be exhausted. And you must be exhausted too.

Congratulations on the new kitten family!!
