Have read so much about fast tech and how quickly they get things delivered I gave them a look and found a basic Vamo for $28 that I couldn't resist. Placed the order on the 19th and they didn't ship until this afternoon. Not in a hurry but five days to process an order seems a little long. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, figure they were out of stock when my order showed up.

They do have excellent prices on some items and with free shipping they are tough to beat, even with a slow turnaround.

Any idea what the shipping cost is with Vapor Break? They have the Vamo for $3 less but I couldn't readily find the shipping cost. Figured it had to be more than $3.

Always look at the price box for availability - in Stock/2 days / 4 days /etc. they list time before shipping for most. Longest I have seen for an item is 5 days for fulfillment.

Also - for warranty, fasttech has a Florida return address. Beats shipping back to china.

I have made 5 orders with Fasttech. Between Chinese New Year and this co-op Chinese free shipping is where I am at. I did get a bum ego but they are sending a replacement.
This is a good point...I was considering if I should post anything about the complaints I've read about FT and VB. There are fans and haters both of each site, but I haven't received anything faulty or had to wait a month for anything delivered. I've read plenty of griping about both sites, though. It's good to know that FT is taking care of your complaint.

Why oh why must my basement windows be such an odd size? There are a lot of odd/non-standard sizes in this house. Some of the oddness was because the stuff was salvaged/reused or possibly from overstock, but still, I would think I'd be able to come somewhat close to the dimensions of these windows.

I've got a 29.5" x 16.25" opening in a poured concrete foundation. Available windows seem to have a width of either 25" or 31" and no in-between. And with the 25" width, the smallest height available is 19", so that's a no-go. For 31" wide my options... Dammit. Those windows then are either the block cube glass things that are wicked expensive or hopper. And I've got double sliding with a screen.

See, my problem is that the wood rotted around these basement windows. Plants and creatures made their homes here (even earthworms!). The more I removed the rot, the more convinced I became that replacement was the answer. The glass and plastic stuff is all intact. I guess rebuilding the windows is the only thing I can do, less I try plowing through concrete and I'm afraid of doing that.

Pooey. Welp, I better get my rear in gear to at least get one window done today. Hopefully. Memo.

Like how my posts are like boring blog entries? Sorry. It's too hard to read and reply and heart and whatnot on this iPad, so until I can get a new 'puter it's this blah blah blahing. I'm going back and forth between doing something cheap and netbooking again or actually splurging on something more powerful in hopes I'll get back into my artistic pursuits. I'm keeping an eye on eBay for any lucky finds in both of those realms. I've been really pleased with the $48 desktop my mom scored on eBay. But I need something lightweight and portable. And lunch. Rumbly tummy.

It took fast tech 7 days to process/ship my order, and then another week or so to deliver. And it was supposed to be the shipping upgrade so I was supposed to get my order in 5-8 days. So, I'm on the fence about them. The quality of what I got wasn't the greatest, but I didn't order quality things to begin with :p. I bought some mini vivi novas and wasn't impressed. Maybe rewinding them myself will prove better. One of the CE something or others, it had a spring, leaked. The T4 Kanger-like thing is nice, but the included mouthpiece/drip tip thing comes out sometimes if it's banging around in my purse or something. I got s little mini passthrough but that wasn't that great. It's hard to hold and operate, and doesn't give that great/constant power flow or something. And I got a few ego batteries. They're not as nice as the original KGOs and Rivas but they're something different and I always misplace them. I've also fried them with faulty atomizer devices, so that's been a bummer, especially when I had nicely decorated them. Fried batteries smell terrible. Nothing like fried bananas.

Flarg, please remember when ordering from Fasttech....or any other supplier Shipping time is just that. The estimated time from pick up to delivery.
Processing time must be added in for a total outlook. Once fully calculated, you feel better knowing the total is about right.

All Fasttech products have a shipping time included in the box with the price. In stock/ ships in 2-4 days / ships in 3 days/ etc.

I will agree, you have to pick and choose carefully or know you are getting something You can tweek/mod to perform as preferred. I'm not a big Fasttech nut, but times are tough and some times drastic measures need to be taked to get the most for the least amount.

Do not buy Joyelife Batteries. If you like the pretty batteries, use only Ego threaded devices or Tank supports to protect the weak 510 threads.
Cheapy Carto tanks work okay for the few bucks, but expect to replace the carto itself in a few days or less. Boge's work wonders.:D

I enjoy playing with the gear. Gives an old man something not so strenuous to do and teaches me a lot. Then I come to ECF prepared and try helping the noobs. Pay it forward.:thumb:

.....:tumble:.....
I'm kind of bummed. I am in another coop and the host is not communicating. I am trying to stay positive that I will receive what I ordered, but, it is getting really tuff. I know there is always a risk. It is just very disappointing. There are at least 240 very unhappy banana's on ecf. Each banana is in it for at lease $125. The entire bunch of banana's are in it for around 50k. Disappointed to say the least.

It is "Kangergate" and darn if I'm not in the middle again!

Dunder - Who in their right mind approved a $50k co-op? Surely not Joker........

Interesting question crxess. It started before the new rules. Supposed to be the last of it's kind. The host or coop would not have been eligible under the new rules. Nor would the product. I knew it was a huge risk going into it. A gamble that I hope we win.
