No Laughing. The first couple of times I used that software I was kinda Lost.

I just did a Work Up on it for a NiChrome 80 Single 3mm Diameter Coil @ .7 Ohms

For 26 Gauge, that would be 6 Wraps.
For 28 Gauge, that would be 4 Wraps.

4 Wraps to me are Not Enough. 6 Wraps is a Nice amount. Because you can go with 5 Wraps to have a .5 Ohms coil. Or 7 Wraps to have .8 Ohms Coil.

So for a Single Coil, 26 Gauge sounds like a Safe Bet for the .5 ~ .8 Ohm Range.

I saved the Settings in this link if you want to try Different Gauges or Ohms and see what they do to the Wraps.

You rock!!! You gave me the exact info I needed. I agree, a couple more wraps is always better :) now I can order :) THANK YOU

Hey No Problem.

What I try to do is go with a Gauge of Wire that lets me Build a Little in one Direction or a little in the Opposite Direction Ohms wise. And Also number of Wraps Wise.

I think 26ga NiChrome 80 would let you do that.

You could also get to 7 ~ 9 Wraps like Tol said he likes by going with a 2.5mm Diameter @ .8 Ohms instead of building to a 3mm Diamter.

Not sure if there is a comparison for the OCC coils. The vertical OCC coils are:

Red Bands:

0.5 ohm (operating range 15 to 60 watts)
1.2ohm (operating range 10 to 26 watts)
1.5 ohm (operating range 10 to 26 watts)

Blue Bands:

0.15 ohm ni200 TC coils

The original V1 of those were horizontal coils with lower wattage ranges

The RBA sections I think had 2 versions? I have the V2 with the larger wick holes and is easier to take apart. Honestly I never build on mine, I found it frustrating when I first was learning how to build. I got an RDA and never looked back.

I ordered some coils... The .5 coils are way bigger than the 1.2 coils... So odd.
The .5 and .2 that came with my new black tank a few weeks back were all small like the 1.2 ohm coils pictured here...

I have a box of the 0.5 Reds from December (before we knew they weren't SS wire) and they're the smaller rounds with two juice holes.

I was surprised a couple weeks ago to see the larger rounds with the small third juice hole.
My guess is a redesign, but that's just a guess.

Were the ones you got sub ohm or higher? I wonder if they only made the low ohms got the xtra holes? And looks like a lot more cotton

I can confirm that those bigger coils are the ones that came with the Top Tank Mini, so it looks like a revision. Where did you order them from?

These larger ones do seem to wick much better than the smaller ones (have only used the .5) I guess that 3rd hole makes a difference. And the top tank also came with a Ni200 that was the larger size as well. I think it's safe to assume they're going this way from now on, but who knows.

I ordered from vapenw.com Fast shipping. I have known of that place for some time. I do not buy often though cuz I make my own coils 99% of the time. Recently my coils/wicking has sucked so- I wanted to give new pre made coils a shot since they have changed so much since I last tried em... The third hole version wicks well... I'd buy more :)
