Battery pairing still is handy with regulated mods since you will be ensured that the batteries wear evenly, the pair of batteries will have gone through the same number of recharge cycles. Generally you will get a slight variance between the discharge between the two batteries so this would be normal. For example, when I go to recharge the pair of batteries in my Dripbox 160, one battery may measure at 3.45 volts while the other may measure at 3.42 volts. On the other hand, my Laisimo L1 does discharge the batteries unevenly. When taking the discharged batteries out, one battery may measure at 3.2 volts while the other will measure at 2.8 volts.Does anyone understand the reason Phil Busardo is saying we should use dedicated batteries..... This is regulated right.... I thought you only had to do that with parallel mech boxes.
I do notice my batteries are charging at different rates so I dunno, I don't get it..... I thought regulated is supposed to take the thinking out of things like battery pairing and rotation??
I hardly ever use onboard charging with my 18650's. I recharge using an external charger and the only time I will use onboard charging is if I am out and about and my batteries are low, then I'll plug it into the phone charger in the car.
