So Kanger has recently released two new clearomizer/tanks and they are both fantastic!

The EVOD is the reworked T3 and there are a ton of smart things about the new design.

Not so long ago when I was trying to move into serious vaping I was looking at clearomizers. They seemed the next logical step. The mini Nova and T3 were the obvious choices. I only say 'obvious' as people seem to like the mini Nova for some reason I can't fathom. But back then, I came across reports of a thing known as the Kanger T3 mini. They were few and far between, but people lauded these things. I found some resellers sold out of said item and eventually went with T3/MT3's and mini Nova's.

To those that complain about leaking with T3's, THIS is the clearomizer for you. What I believe is happening for folks is that they are letting their T3's sit around when they are 1/3rd full or less. The lack of weight in the remaining juice and the local pressure in the tank causes the juice to start to 'leak' (you get a juice bubble at contact point). Then you get gurgling, bad hits, low vape, etc. This is well documented and the solution is generally: Don't let your T3's get that low and if they do clean it and refill and there is no issue! The EVOD has a couple solutions to this.

1.) It IS the fabled Kanger T3 Mini, yet it is not simply a stockier version of the T3. While a T3 can be filled to around 3.0ML, it starts to lose functionality around 1.5-1.0ML of fluid. What the EVOD does is shrink the tank size to something a little above 2 ML and design the atty to sit higher up in the tank. I'm pretty sure you would get zero hit with this design before it started to leak. At the same time you have 1-1.5 ML of usable liquid in a tank.

2.) Despite the substantial shrink in size, it actually holds close to what a T3/MT3 holds. I think in an effort to accentuate this point...they made the drip tip clear. I don't actually like the clear drip tip aside from it's superior shape, but it makes it's point I suppose. It's a better shape than what is on the T3/MT3.

3.) For people that change vapes alot, the EVOD is a godsend. They are cheap, and the new system cuts atty costs in half.

4.) Despite matching or being technically better in some regards, the things look way slicker than a comparably priced T3/MT3. Cheaper to replace attys, and tank size has reduced risk of gurgle leaks. You can actually see the atty inside the EVOD. This is the best thing on the market for someone looking for an EGO clearomizer.

Edit:

5.) There is no need to remove wicking. A lot of people have experienced the issue of low vape/flavor with T3's and the common solution is to remove a wick. The EVODs do not have this issue. They work as is. A slight caveat though, check these things when you get them as both my attys in my EVODs weren't screwed in, they were just jossling around in the empty tanks when I unpacked them. Might wanna open those suckers up and tighten down the attys before you excitedly start pouring juice in there...

I'm really loving my Evod...so much so I had to order 2 more to match my different Color Batts...at less than 4 bucks each at FastTech, who could pass that up...with free shipping! Should have ordered 5 more!

I really loved my T3s and MT3s...but the leaking..and mine would sometimes leak at 3/4 full...so much so I had hubby rebuild all my heads, thinking maybe that was it...nope...still leak..not just in my mouth, but all over my Battery tops. I can't bring myself to toss them, as they are just really good, when they don't leak..which isn't very often any more.

Anyhow, the Evod, to me, is the best of both worlds...you've got the bottom wicks, for a slightly cooler Vape..but it Draws almost like a Nova..and I REALLY like the clear drip tip! :)

See, this is why I'm confused. I see people coming in left and right with their Evods leaking, and try as I might to diagnose the problem, I can't. Everything seems to be in working order. But they complain of juice in their mouth, gurgling, and most of all, leaking. These are mostly people I can guarantee are not Youtube-savvy or hip to ECF, so I know they're not removing top wicks or flipping grommets. So is it simply the fact that they're not keeping it full all the time? It's when it gets low that it causes these problems? That's it?

EDIT: I only use Kanger T3's if I'm using clearos (and I'm still on the fence with clearos...) I fiddled with the top wick a la Busardo's suggestion. I'm sure I did it wrong, but there was INSTANT leaking. So I got a bunch more and didn't fiddle with them, and sure enough, they're rock solid devices. No leaking, decent hit, the flavor is muted a little (I inherently dislike and distrust clearos), but they work if you don't play around with the wicks.

It's a great product. Enjoyable for newbies and vets alike. It's a good set up for a newbie. Good results with minimal effort.

It's good for people like myself who like to tinker. I've been rebuilding the heads with 3.75-4.5 mm wicks and no flavor wicks and they have been working great. No leaks or dry hits. When I clean and dry burn I don't have to worry about cleaning the tiny flavor wicks or replacing them.

I, like you, also saw clearomizers as a natural progression and I have to say; I'll never look back.

After using a TW Titan-T for 2months I ordered an Ego-Twist, Kanger Protank and a couple of EVOD's becuase they seemed a better option for every day use and nights out.

After having this setup a week now I can honeslty say I prefer the EVOD to the Protank by some way.

The only small, and it is very small, gripe I have with the EVOD is the base design. I have had a few occasions already where I'm unable to unscrew the base from the tank due to the shiny chrome finish on the base. The way around this so far for me has been to screw the EVOD back onto the Twist hard then unscrew the tank from there. Obviously at the back of my mind I'm waiting for a time where I get the base stuck on the battery but so far this has worked every time.

To summise, GET AN EVOD.

I love the EVODs... I orginally started with Iclear 16, then a 30... and there were things with them that just "urked" me... I saw the EVOD and got it... and was blown away... I ended up going back and i bought 3 more... To me it brings the flavors out ... and the vapor was great...( ive been using 70/30 PGVG mix)...

Only problem I have encountered and that was with one... was that I bought an absinthe juice and it is strong (for those who never tried it ...imagine black licorice with cinnamon)... The cinnamon in it stained/etched the plastic tank... and the taste was burned into the flavor wick... (no matter what i vaped...All i could taste was black licorice) I cleaned it/dry burned/... everything... I managed to fix mine by popping the head off and removing that flavor wick ( seem that there isnt a certain set number of flavor wicks that are placed in it...Ive seen where one would have 1-2 ..some had 3) Now it is vaping great with a Fire/Ice juice I have... Now some juices, depending on thickness would be ok... I had one that leaked because I had a thin juice running through it..i just placed the flavor wick back on top of the wick...

Another thing i love is that if you get the wire and wicks...it is very easy to rebuild the heads... I havent don it yet, but from what i have seen ...I know i can easily do it... check out the youtube videos....good info... Kanger EVOD is my vape of choice... If you need a larger container in a tank/clearomizer...get the Protank... the heads are built the same/has glass instead of plastic...Im picking up one saturday...

I'm curious when the next innovation will come.

I remember when I started the vivi nova was the big deal. I hated twirling that thing like a fool. The evod and protank remedied that.

The whole sloshing thing never made sense to me, unless you were low on juice. Just, uh, refill it. ;-)

I got 2 (just because of reading this forum) and I must say they seem to work really well. Was wondering how long they last. How will I know when it is time to change the atomizer? Are they really easy to rebuild? (or as easy as YouTube makes it seem). Is this a inexpensive way to vape? Sorry for so many questions. I know the answers are probably somewhere in this forum. Thank you.

You will know when it is time. It all depends on use and juice. The hits will start to taste "off". Maybe burnt, gunky. Your vapor production will diminish, even on a fully-charged battery. That's when it's time to change the wicks/head. Typically anywhere from a week to three weeks -- although this is all dependent on a number of variables. Are you using dark juice? Thick juice? Super-sweet juice? Are you using a variable voltage device? If so, where are you set at, voltage-wise? The higher the voltage, the less life you'll get out of a coil.

Guess a LATE review is better than no reviews - lol

Few minor points
Evod is BCC - ALL BCC can leak(nature of the beast) Evod included. Yep most leak during non use. Simple fix, Lay it down or stand on upside down.
Evod is Not the T3 Mini - The T3-mini is. I own 10 Minis. Evod advantage - Wick cost only. Both produce excellent vapes.
T3 will wick all the way to Dry without performance loss if adjusted properly for Viscosity of e-liquid
1/2 E-liquid volume is not close to same - Half is half.
Wick Removal IS required for SOME High viscosity liquids. Adding may be needed for Very Thin Liquids.

Might want to accept your experience is not that of all others and include that as Fact. i.e. In my Experience.......
Not trying to disillusion anyone, Kanger products are great pieces of equipment however individual experience will play a role in successful experiences.
My rebuttal :D

2 of my evdo are 6-8 weeks old. I clean 2 time a week or when changing flavor or the tast or draw is not right. what I do is place the bottom section (head and ego thread section) against the faucet and run hot water through them and I then put my finger over the tub to force water to go through the wick. The wick is nice and clean. The tank just wash out with water. I do have one tank that has a flavor stuck to it.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
I've had my EVODs for 5 weeks now. No leaks, ever. Maybe there's user error involved?

I had ONE time when the base got stuck because I vaped it too dry. I have started getting into rebuilding coils - it's actually fun. It seems daunting to a noob at first, but watch the videos - it really helps!

I love my EVODs, course, I've never tried anything else. I have a Protank, but can't commit to that much juice at a time (I'm juice-ADD.) I like having 3-5 EVODs with different juice "genres" sitting around to sample.

Speaking of sampling, next up is dripping . . .

I have 4 eVod's and 5 t3's with eVod heads and coils. Been using the t3's since xmas and got the evod about 2 weeks ago along with the heads for the t3's and a couple twist batterys. What I am really starting to figure out is that they really shine on a VV battery. Most og my gurgling problems seemed to be caused by overwicking and bumping up the voltage a little really helps to turn that extra juice into vapor. I don't really get much real leaking when not in use, might be because i rebuild them with cotton tho.

I did get some juice the other day made by a local vape shop. For some reason this juice leaves a LOT of condensation in my eVod. A lot more than my normal juice. It is a bit of a pain but it just taste so good, might be because it has distilled water added. I am wondering is some of the problems some of the people are having is caused by the juice they are using. I really have to crank the voltage on that juice to keep the evod dryer.

Great thread :)

I'm using 2 eGo-Twist batteries, 2 EVOD BCCs, and 1 Kanger Pro Tank in my rotation.

I have to say, the twists, evod bccs, and pro tank are the PERFECT setup for a newbie like myself. Also, since the heads are so extremely cheap to replace, and the heads are rebuilable on the evod and pro tank.....they seem to be great all around, for anybody who vapes.

I havent had the need to buy any other delivery systems. I've tried a dripping atomizer, some cartos.....they both suck in comparison to the evod and pro tanks.
