I finally bought a protank today, so I am bouncing between a vivi nova and that.

Note that I have only been doing this since last Saturday.

I see a pretty good difference between the air flow and flavor.

I'm not sure which I like better...........

DECISIONS DECISIONS!!!!!!!........

Had my Vamo + Kanger Protank going for about 2 months now and still like to switch off to my Vision Eternity + eGo pass though.

Not sure why but sometimes I just want a slightly tighter draw and other times I got to have my airy vape, so why decide, keep both handy and go with what feels best at the moment.

A can't get any great flavor out of this either. My 6 month old t3 has Great flavor. Do essentially the same coil in the protank and its Seriously muted. I don't get it, I think it's because the heads are taller than the t3 and the coil is father from the air tube from the looks of It.

I agree with what you stated. I also believe the root cause is the taller head. My EVOD coil ( shorter ) does not have nor has ever had a muted taste. To prove this theory, I recently purchased a PuriTank ( this is ProTank killer in my opinion ) it is a larger tank than the protank but works with EVOD coils. Have not had one muted taste, no metal taste, no tweaking to be done, etc.

i haven't read this whole thread out, just first couple pages and jumped to end, so i dont know if anyone has mentioned this or not.i have a 510 air flow controller i got it from gotvapes i can control the air flow just fine on my protank with it. i am using the kanger t3s coil unit in it,(gotvapes has these also) other than it is a little noisy it works great, plenty vapor, great taste, i love it.

Just curious, has anyone taken the stem off of the protank atty and replaced it with the short stem from the EVODs coil? Thinking of trying that, wasn't sure if it would cause a problem.

Using the evod head tightens up the draw perfectly. When I use the KPT heads (long stem) I have 2 of the 3 (small) airholes blocked. When I put in the evod head (short stem) it was too tight and after unblocking those air holes I can't tell the difference between the 2. :2c:

I've come to find out that I get good flavor only when its on the verge of flooding. It's an extremely fine line. Only a couple times today was I able to taste my juice. Been recoiling and wicking trying to find a sweet spot for 3 weeks. Today i Unscrewed my tank from the base 1/2 to full turn to get wicks wet enough. sometimes good for a while then it floods. V1 t3 recoiled, I have no problems at all excellent flavor. I wonder if other have really tasted their juice before..

I had great luck with evods so I decided to get a protank
when full it tastes burnt after 2 consecutive vapes so I did removed 1 flavor wick and everything was ok but then at half tank I get a lot of gurgling and flooding, so I add the flavor wick again and it's ok. I'm now on my third tank and really annoyed with this issue!!! should I change to cheesecloth wicks or am I doing something wrong??

As for the infamous protank gurgle, that happens at the top of the replaceable head tube about 1/2 way up the air tube. Simplest way to deal with it is if/when it becomes a bother just slide a q-tip down the airway and invert the whole battery+tank while rotating the q-tip slowly. No need to worry about damaging your coil as the q-tip is too fat to get that far down. If the gurgle is not completely gone just use the other end of the q-tip and repeat.

The problem comes from condensation going back down the airway and filling up the space between the top of the replaceable coil head and the airway tube. As this small space collects liquid it forms a kind of bubble partially obstructing the airway and causing a gurgle.

Hope this helps :)

well i was experiencing some problems... first with a new head they would vape nicely, then i would start getting a rubber taste which soon turned to burned, yuk !!! this would occur within 2-3 days.

i too feel the hits are a bit airy, but that doesn't bother me as badly.

once i removed the top wick, i was able to volt up to 4.5 or 4.6 from 3.0 :p about 7-8w. sounds a bit hot i know, but its vaping very nice since i removed the wick. no burn, no rubber, just big vapor :D

i thought i was ruining heads. glad i saved the old three. i have an easy fix thanks to this thread ;)

i also have two other protanks on backorder. the colored glass protanks.... are these really kanger brand? does anyone know?

anyway, off to remove the wick from the other three failed coils i was using.

I had problems with them originally, but then someone suggested an air controller. This made the tank work magic. Also, I let mine soak in water(distilled) for a couple of hours. Now, the only thing that I've found is that certain acidic flavors create a reaction in my mouth. My wife, a dental hygienist, said it was due to dental work in my mouth. This was and is dissapointing because that is the reason I bought them in the first place (acidic juices). However, other than that they are working great. You must get the air flow controller. Just google it, but I believe I got it from got vapes.
