My life does depend on it.I get no bacon noise from my protank... I get no noise at all. Are you guys ripping thr thing like your life depends on it or something?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I didn't have any plastic at hand (at work), so I took the cardboard from the back of a pad of paper and...presto! 6.5 watts on a VAMO V2 is perfect.

My life does depend on it.
Sounds odd, I just find it quite loud, compared to ye olde Vivi Novas![]()
Not "ripping it" hard at all, gentle inhale at about 7 Watts most of the time.
Had it leak a bit on the battery connector tonight - don't know if it was due to me vaping it down to the point where you can't see anymore juice in the glass, or the fact that I used it out in the cold, or both though.
I'm intrigued by this thread because this is what we are planning for our next big purchase. My main desire for wanting one is because everyone raves about the fact it provides more flavor. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this thread because you seem to be getting some great advice.
i would assume both, i top mine off or empty it whenever it falls below a quarter full otherwise i get gurgly/dry hits, but i still have never had a leaking problem except when i tried to alter the airflow once.
.. Good thread.in my experience, allowing a top coil clearo run low has even worse repurcussion than letting the protank run low. i have had no problem allowing mine run below a quarter tank, it just has become a ritual for me to refill at a quarter tank. i also have had no problems using it in cold weather, and i live up in minnesnowta (we just had a snowstorm and its currently 33 degrees in april!). im sorry you have been having these issues and maybe they will clear up in the future. if not, thats why there is such a huge variety of devices out there! It's just stuff like this that gets to me, you know?
I don't want to have to worry about topping it off before it runs below quarter full, and while topping off, having to worry about drops of eliquid coming from the air tube. And worrying about whether it's a cold day, before using it outside, because it'll flood if I do.
A top coil clearo, with design like the Protank, now that would be perfection - to me.
It's all personal preference, of course.
yea whenever i switch back to top coils i absolutely hate that i have to do the "tilt n whirl" lol. it took like a week for me to finally adjust to my protank, but now i think every other tanks draw isnt airy enough, or has too tight of a draw, or gets dry hits too easily etc. try giving yourself more time to adjust, its definetly a big change.Hehe, don't be sorry, it's not your fault
I don't get it, I simply don't. Using it outside in the cold Danish winter times (not shielding it from the cold in any way), and then taking it back indoors, it would flood on me. You've never experienced something like that?
And yes, running a top coil low, can cause dry hits, no doubt. But not if you do the tilt'n'whirl. Of course that's a matter of habit too.
Maybe it's just me having trouble adapting to bottom coil clearos in general![]()
