I think I will make my wicks 4mm, but I have a bunch of 2mm that would otherwise go unused so I will double it and try it out. It depends on who you buy you wick from, I guess, it can be very differently made according to manufacturer. Glad you enjoyed the video, as I learn I like to pass it on and have made a great many new friends through this medium!

Great job on the Video VaporLady. I've been vaping T3's for several months and just got a ProTank today. Dang it's good. It will be EASY to build thes. I do my rebuilds alot like yours but using the pin INSIDE is a great idea, lol. I've been doing 1.5mm wick inside the wick and 1.5mm outsaide as a " Blanket" as you called it, lol. Cracked me up but it's so true, lol.

Noob question in coming !! Is it cheaper to rebuild them ? Because where i live i can just get a new one for 1€ that is 1,20$ i think

For 1.20 I'd just buy new ones, lol. But I can rebuild one for about .30 each by doing my own. I do it just cause I'm a tinkerer, lol. On ebay you can get enough stuff to rebuild them for about 15.00 to rebuild them for a year, lol

Here at work I ended up making a 4.5mm coil lol. I wasn't thinking and I used a 3mm and two pieces. My silica is 4 pieces in 3mm. It's actually working pretty well. No dry hits. I figured 4.5 it would be chocked too much so I put the silicon deal upside down. It's wicking well even though it's a full tank. Alot more vapor and flavor is better.

I have a theory that the more wire you have exposed burning juice the more vapor there is and more flavor.

Came out to 2.3 ohm at 5 wraps.

4.5?? Wow you really did it to it ;-)

I think you said You turned your silicone cup upside down .. you might try removing it completely. That's what I did to the 4mm one thst I made as an experiment in an EVOD .. works great.

You're probably right. The silicon deal isn't really doing anything upside down anyway lol. I'm actually using an evod I should of said with this coil. I consider the protank and evod the same thing really. Same concept, the protank is just bigger.

So what do i need to rebuild it and ow i dont have a ohm measure thing so if any one knows a good one tell me

32ga kanthal wire and 3mm silica wick and your good. You'll also need a pair of tweezers, small pair of needle nose pliers, small pair of wire cutters and a decent size sewing needle. Maybe VaporLady can tell what size.

I use quilting pins they are a bit thicker and stronger than the average sewing pin, also have a large head to grasp. Someone else will have to chime in on a good ohm meter, I just drive fast and take chances using my Vamo, but I make sure I do a good build to prevent shorts in the first place.

You know, I think it needs to be said again that regardless of perhaps a minor leak or two, I just picked up my Protank on my Vamo and had a two foot solid plume of vapor on the first vape. The intensity of the flavor hit me like a freight train.

3mm silica wick wrapped 4 times to make 1.7-8 ohms with 32gauge Kanthal wire.

This is why we rebuild. We know we can make it better!

I think any cheap ohm meter will do. I've seen them for $5 on eBay. I use a fluke, but that's not cheap by any means, and it was used for much more than the occasional ohming of coils. The only time I didn't ohm a build, blew a battery. Luckily it was an old ego battery, not a big one in a mech mod.
