Hello,
I recently received a Kangertech NEBOX Black for Christmas. I fired her up for the first time in the standard temperature control mode, and was getting some crackling while vaping. I let the 0.5 pre-built coil soak and waited the 30 second for it to sit in the tank when screwed back on, so I don't think saturation was the problem. I then switched to Variable Wattage mode and set it to 21, got some crackling, dropped to 15W and the same, dropped to 7 and worked up to 13.5 Watts. They all would crackle sometimes, without even good vapor production at lower power.
However, I set it back to Temperature control and the issue got better, but still crackles from time to time.
The suggested wattage range included by the manufacturer said that I could vape 50-70% VG liquids at max of 15 to 50 Watts for best flavor, however with the crackling at Power outputs as low as 9-10 Watts I am afraid to try anything higher than 25W.
So, my question is: Is there some kind of balance I need to achieve between the power output and the temperature control? I can set any wattage and switch back to also control temperature... Does this mean that I can have a high wattage for fast ramping up of the coil, but control the temperature from getting too hot to crackle? Or is the crackling just due to the wattage output and electrical arcing within the tank? I dont want to burn out this coil or the cotton in it because they are premade ones sold with the unit, and the mini-RBA included is probably going to be as hard as, if not harder, than my IGO-W3 to work with.
Any advice or users who have the same model are welcome to help. I'm all ears
