mine leaks through the air holes....PITA
I'm a techie. Been trackin' it since it's release. So I can definitely relate to the apparent simplicity and elegance of it. But in this biz nothin's simple.
Except us bein' the guinnea pigs, (quality) control group and endless deep pockets for the industry.
Can't speak to the performance as can cig and I trust his judgment. Based on what I've read and followed it seems a product not quite ready for prime time (for the average user). And I'm not too sure it will be as it will no doubt undergo some formidable revision. For moderately advanced users with a tinkering spirit, like REO's fans for example, oh joy!
My preferences are all over the board. No single device even comes close. Hate to tell ya how many I have. It seems like wretched excess but for the fact that I actually use them all. I found one authentic sitting lately. Had forgotten I had it. Said, oh yeaahhh! Sad. Don't know what too many is yet though. At times I envy Russ, the REO's folks, the Provari aficionados who can settle on one approach. This from the lifetime Marlboro man. LOL In a way I guess, it's my kind of tinkering. Like some that need to drive every car or switch every radio station. My guy version of playin' with the remote since I don't watch TV. I'm mouth-to-lung, cool low power vapes, all the way down to .2Ω clouds or up to 2Ω+ carto's, chain like mad at high and low power. Or I'll drain a batt or two reading this forum or at a vendor demo blowing clouds. Can't predict it, don't care to. And it varies for each and every flavor and moment. I don't think they have a name for that, or an eGrip.
I guess what I'm looking for is something that universally encompasses my very real love of tobacco. I have a few devices that almost fit the bill. Now if I could just find that juice ..
I think we're all schizo katya. Don't know if we wanna leave, or wanna go. Simplify our lives, or fiddle with it. Vaping is dichotomy.
But we love it, don't we?
Take care Katya, good luck.

Thanks, Cig. I've been following two threads on the subject.
I've decided to wait a bit longer for the next iterations of both the Sub and the e-grip.
A hundred bucks saved. Gonna buy some more kanthal and maybe a few new drip tips.
Or a new pair of shoes.![]()
same here, just upgrade fom mvp2 to istick 30w so i could subohm w/the subtank mini, i tryed the naut mini at 13 - 14 watts and it gave it new life, next is to remove the afc ring to get more airJust got the subtank mini as an upgrade to my naut mini. This thing is so good that it is life changing for me. All I have is 18mg juice and that is going to have to change ASAP.
Feels great to no longer be a slave to crappy BVC's and their mystery wick. See ya later Aspire.
Incredible, ain't it? I too vape 18mg and moved down to 6mg when I bought the Atlantis. Still vape 15mg in my Nautilus Mini and Aerotanks. I know a dude that drips 24mg. I'd be passed out on the floor.Just got the subtank mini as an upgrade to my naut mini. This thing is so good that it is life changing for me. Perhaps there's variances in the machining of these devices. Wicking is not my problem...getting juice to the wick is the problem. A couple of strong primer puffs or a quick blow through the device allows a few bubbles to enter into the tank and I'm good to go....for one or two pulls...then dry again. I have wicked it with kgd and rayon (not my preference) touching the lower deck away from the juice channels, on the juice channels, s-curve across the juice channels with light, medium and heavy wicking density with 4 different size coils ranging from 1.7-3mm. No go...dry hits.
Must have gotten a bad one. Dunno
Quick question: Do I need to go down on nicoticestrength with the 1.2 coil? When I got my atlantis I needed to get down to 6 mg from 12 mg

I would. I have only used the .5 so far but my 18mg standard is very strong on this. Being as people report getting equal vapor production from the 1.2, I would guess that its not the coil, but the airflow. Basically If 12 was too much on an atlantis, then 12 is too much on a sub mini.
Bummer that I ordered 2 dl more juice @ 12 mg then hehe
Maybee if I strangle the air then?![]()
Does anybody know if it is possible to purchase an extra RBA section? It would be easier to have one built and ready to go. Just unscrew the old one and screw in a new one. Then rebuild it at my leisure and have it ready to go for the next time.
I have looked around online and don't see them listed anywhere. Even on Kanger's website.
Hey cigatron my build started out good but as the cotton got some wear and tear on it I started getting some on the edge of dry hits as well so I did some searching and found a guy on youtube that was useing a vertical coil on the Kanger 25mm rba, the video is not in english but i watched anyway. I used this method with a single piece of 28 gage ni200 wraped 5 times around a 1/8th drill bit that came out to .12 ohms. The coil is not spaced and I preheated it to make sure it was fireing good then i cut and wraped the koh gen do around the coil as good as i could and used some more to fill in where i could just like the guy in the video did and i was carful to leave a tiny space for the juice holes, it takes some time to do but trust me it is worth it, sence I have done my rba this way i have vaped a hole tank at 15,5 watts up to 25 watts, I didn't go any higher because i think I was on the verg of a dry hit. The vape is a some what warm but on the cool side if that makes any sence and the vapor production and flavor is just crazy, I like to feel the vapor going down on the inhale and the exhale is just a thick heavy vapor. I used the ni200 so I could use my temp control on my rDNA VapoShark, but I'm sure it will work with kanthal or any of the others. I have it set to 440F and 15.5 watts and I am loving it and it is lasting with no hint of dry hits.....I hope this helps you and others out. I don't know if I can post a link here to the video but I will give you the title and you can search for it on youtube...here you go.
