I find rebuilding the OCC head is even easier then building the rba section.... And some of the builds I have done DO perform better then stock..... This one for example wicks far better for chain vaping..

I'm currently using a 4 strand 32 gauge twisted in it that's great on flavor

What am I seeing in this coil? Looks like a loose lead? Am I missing something...

Lol
My point was that it's really easy. I bought one 5 pack, to give me a total of 7 heads. I rebuild them assembly line when I get down to two remaining ready..... Usually building 5 at a time. I prefer them to the rba on my full size to retain the 6ml capacity......i use the rba in my mini, it's easy to build also, but with all the unscrewing of parts vs one pin and insulator, I'm a bit faster on the occ
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

Ok....wow! Just installed tiger coil, using 28g and ribbon, came to .8ohms, 5/6 wraps, 3/32 Id, and holy flavor!!! At 20 watts!! Wicked with kgd. Using an 80 vg juice, and even at 20w it is producing awesome clouds!!! I think I found my build!

FYI- I drilled out the juice channels using a 1/16 bit, all the way down(I had the clear insulator version with the juice channels not all the way down).

I just tried a kanthal build in my STmini tonight, and did a tiger wire build too. 28g tiger wire, 2.5mm ID, 7 wraps I think, came out to .97ohms. Vaping it right now at 23w, tasty stuff.

Okie doke y'all, I got my subtank mini last week and ipv mini2 and was soooo excited but man I don't know if it's gonna work for me! I only have 6 mg 50/50 juice though, so I was wondering if that's the culprit. I started out with the 1.2 coil around 16 watts. Sitting here toying with the idea of wicking the already installed coil (I have KGD). Also worth mentioning I'm a mtl vaper. Should I just try lower nic? Any thoughts or tips or tricks?

OH and I did want to mention I had the same leaking problem from the air holes. Picked it up after not using a few days and it was leaking all down the side. Insulators are grayish/tan? This one came with the spare black o rings.

That's a great setup, give it more time, with some troubleshooting hopefully you will be able to get a satisfy vape out of it.

What exactly don't you like about it, other than the leak?

I would try some 70vg with a slightly lower nic if the vapor was too strong/harsh. With greater vapor production I need lower nic, and higher VG but that's me, some don't mind it.

Heh, its a kanger tank, bound to have some leaking J. Thicker juice could help, but I think 50/50 should be fine, although i only use 80vg+. I would check to make sure everything was secured down. If the vacuum is lost, generally it will leak.

It is just way too harsh! I can't inhale longer than 2-3 seconds and lots of coughing.

Really? Even with the occ coil?

Yes, too low of a wattage setting and mtl hitting can easily flood any device. Symptoms for oversaturated/flooded wick can be any or all of the following: leaking, hot vapor, spitting, popping, harsh throat/chest hit, weak vapor production and poor flavor.
Turning up the wattage, opening the airflow more and/or reducing draw effort should fix ya.

I think you said you're a mtl hitter so opening the airflow more is probably not an option.

Good luck

leaks - shouldnt be any as could be a sign of vacuum leak, bad wicking = not a good vape.
2-3 secs, largest airhole normal, if on 1 hole reduce watts.
lower nic.
increase vg.
i reiterate shouldnt be leaking, cause lots of other problems other than making a mess.

I agree Vin, subtanks don't leak if built, wicked and vaped properly. None of my kangers leaked under the same stipulations for that matter....evods, protanks, aerotanks or megatanks....
