Ok, I'll play around with it some more. What have you guys found to be the sweet spot for say a 50/50 juice? Not sure about vapors tongue, since on the nautilus Im getting great flavor....I was thinking the flavor is more "diffused" because there is so much more airflow. What I will say is that on the tightest setting the flavor is a tad stronger than wide open, but still weak. Appreciate the insight boys, will continue to try and figure things out.
Kind of hard to answer with a one answer fits all question. The .5 ohm and 1.2 ohm OCC's require diff wattage settings for peak flavor. Much less the RBA which can be built at any ohms.
Afc set to "two hole" setting with 50/50 juice flavor peaks at:
26.5w with the .5 ohm occ
23.5 with the 1.2ohm occ
25w with rba build: twisted 30ga 5/4wrap 6-32 screw wind .55ohms kgd wicked heavy.
That's right now. If I put in a new occ coil or rewick my rba I'll be readjusting again but usually within +/- 2w.
Start high at say 30w and work your way down until your vape starts to get harsh. That means it's starting to flood. Somewhere along the way you'll hit the sweet spot. Keep your draw effort the same throughout the adjustments and take three or four pulls at each setting.
What you're searching for is the match between power level and wicking density. If it's wicked heavier slightly higher power levels will match up; if it's wicked lighter slightly lower power.
Good luck
