@Cannondale Kanger is known for mods in Power mode to me, until recently. How good will it be, I don't know. I do not think there are even
reviews out for this yet, at least I couldn't find any real ones. Some companies have been able to launch a new TC product, and get things right, out of the gate. Others have struggled with poor performance, scorched wicks etc.
Are they claiming that it can do TC with Kanthal? Yes
(have non English speaking companies made claims that are typo's or incorrect, Yes)
The
subox Mini Pro utilizes the new Kanger Universal
temperature control module that, for the first time in Kanger's stable, allows for a temperature control for Kanthal and NiChrome, with Ni200 Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel heating elements also integrated.

The way I see Kanger is they have been an affordable foray into sub ohm for a lot of people. On the flip side I see a ton of posts about them from newer users with complaints about leaking etc. This would be ok if people were complaining about a rebuildable coil, but they mean stock coils. This may also just be due to new user issues, but it was enough to steer me away from them. I am also not a fan of the cheap looking buttons they have.
Having said that, it is just my opinion, I haven't actually tried one, they have many loyal fanboys, um followers, um accolytes...
My advice, wait for some trusted reviews before buying this on pre order. If you must have a TC mod before then, I highly recommend the Wismec Presa 75w TC with the tank of your choice. I use the Uwell Crown Tank with mine.
It does not have TC in kanthal yet, in fact Kanger is the only mod I heard this about. While it did not support TC in SS when I ordered it, the 1.02 firmware update added that by the time mine arrived here, and took like 10 seconds to do.

This is a surprisingly small mod, you can close your hand around it and other than the tank it disappears. The front face tilts back to fire it, so you never need to fiddle with finding the fire button, just squeeze it. This makes it perfect for left or right handers, and the way it is facing does not matter except perhaps in personal preference either. I am able to spin it in my hand a full 360, stop it anywhere, squeeze and fire it. This may not be a big deal for some, But I Love it.
Other "Plus" things:
Replaceable battery, Check.
Bottom USB port, allowing updates and charging while standing upright with a tank attached, Check.
Able to vape for days the way I use it before recharging, Check. (.25 ohm SS single coil in RBA in TC mode at 360-400f, or same coil in power mode at 14-20 watts and no more than a tank a day)
Able to vape for a day being silly and blowing huge clouds in power mode with dual stock coil setups, Check. (recharge on a per tank or 2 basis here)
Cons:
The taco shaped battery cover has a SLIGHT amount of up/down wiggle room, occasionally makes a tick/tock sound when I pick up the mod and squeeze it to fire. Mod would be perfect if this was corrected, I may try gluing a piece of paper on an end to fix this (that is how slight the slack is) but it really has not driven me to distraction yet
While Wismec is newer than Kanger, they are in cahoots with Joytech. I would be amazed if the internal board was not really the same one as used in the Evic VTC Mini. Of the two I prefer the shape of the Wismec, so comfortable in your hand.
