The only thing holding me back from purchasing a Double Barrel is the fact that most of my tanks are 25mm and I intensely dislike overhang. If this TAC21 accommodates 21700’s it’s probably going to take a 25mm tank like a champ.

I am so there.

Any ideas of a release time frame? My body is ready...

I'd definitely avoid the DB with 25s, yes (good instinct, you). He mentioned in the video, and I'm pretty sure he said it would take 28s without issue (and maybe/possibly 30s?). I'm pretty sure it was 28.

I'll try to swing back to the vid later, then come to report accurately.

The housing is for 21700, with sleeves for 18650, and people are requesting sleeves for 20700 too. I'm not sure where that last part sits, because I've not been locked in.

It's a big'n (IMO), that's for sure.

Release could be in the next few weeks (he said about a month, back on 5-Jan).

The TAC21 now officially tics all my boxes. In the last couple of minutes I’ve gone from mildly interested in The Double Barrel to “HOLY @$#& I NEED THIS TAC21 NOW”.

Congrats, entropy! You may very well be our first Squider to have the Tac21! And I don't think the wait will be all that long.

Squid Ind. is starting with the flat black, but they'll be rolling out colors after that. And yes, it's a 28mm mod, and will take 21700, 20700, and 18650 batteries. And it has a larger screen than the DB. 200w true wattage.

Also, in the next couple of months, they'll be releasing the PTM (PeaceMaker tank), which will be a subohm style using their own coils, and a nearly unbreakable glass.

Squid Ind. has solid plans for at least one other mod, and designs for a few other products, too.

Should be a fun ride this year with Squid!!!!

A durable, simple flat black 200w vw mod that accepts two 21700, 20700, and 18650 cells and accommodates up to 28 mm atomizers without overhang? GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

I'll be in for a tac as well if I end up liking the double barrel. Flat black sounds pretty sweet to me. Almost grabbed a black dbl barrel over the grey but changed my mind at the last second.

The black DeeBee IS beautiful, tho I am not sorry we chose the Gray Champagne. Nope, not at all. And with the white sleeve on it, it's a GREAT look. To me, anyway.
