Kayfun 4 build questions

Hi everyone, I picked up a tobecco kayfun clone and was looking for ideas for a build. I'm going for 1.2-1.4 ohms. I got 26g kanthal and 28g triple twisted kanthal with my clone, along with Japanese cotton. I should have done a little research as I see reg 28 wire would have been ideal... Would it be ok if I just unwound a piece of the triple twisted?? And if anyone has any builds similar it would be appreciated!! I've made a 9-10 wrap micro coil with the 26g and it seems ok, looking for flavor that is close to or better than my Nautty mini. Figured what's $20 towards a clone to try out rta's

12 wraps 1/8th id of 26 gauge Nichrome (check steam engine for Kanthal) nets 1-1.2 ohms....warm but not a hot vape and lots of wonder flavored vapor. It does have a 2 or 3 second warmup time though.

Nichrome's resistance is a bit lower than Kanthal A2 which allows more wraps.

Some people don't like the flavor that nichrome gives to the vapor.

I tried wrapping some 24 gauge nicrothal 80, that I happen to have, for a 1.5 ohm coil but I don't have any atty's that it would fit.

It would be pretty kinked up. probably unusable if you tried to "untwist" it. Keep it like it is and experiment with it!
