kfl+=$99
ehpro kfl+ clone=$49
i'd say 1/2 price is a big difference especially when there is absolutley no difference in vape quality(yes, i have both). snapping off terminals is not the problem with the device it's the problem with the people doing the snapping. and yes, i think a lot of people don't know what they're doing... i have the real ones(kayfuns and russians) and all the clones and have never snapped a post off anything. guess i am just lucky, huh?

Please reread my post more carefully; A 20% failure rate on just one part, in a fair-sized co-op group, is more than bad luck or simple user error. This was in the first couple days after the co-op order arrived; the 20% figure may well be higher at this point.

To misappropriate your sigfile quote, shearing off one block may be careless, but shearing off one in five is a tragedy.

BTW I found out on the weekend that we will we be getting replacements for these broken HC KFs, with an updated center post and terminal block (SS instead of plated brass). The change of materials might speak to a defect, or at least a shortcoming, with the original.

-- Glenn

Edit; Just read in an earlier post on this thread that the EHpro clone, just like the original 3.1, has a threaded center post that screws into the positive terminal block. It doesn't seem possible that the block could shear off. On the HC clone (not sure about other makes) these two part are fixed together.

I have a real KFL+ and the tobeco clone. The tobeco clone is a leaky POS out of the fill screw, its almost unusable.

Anyone that has the tobeco clone have a solution for the leaky screw?

sound like you got a V1 like me !! V1 didn't come with the clear window

my fill screw stripped out after the 3rd filling,i had to seal it up with rtv ultra black and fill from the top cap

I finally got mine last night. Got to play a litte. Was leaking some but seems that is me not the unit. Today it is better. Even with vape tounge I can still taste the diffrence in it. Think this will be the first of a few of these I order. I am really liking this. Now I understand why everyone wants that beauty ring. lol. It is a little wider than my mod. All and all I love it. Thanks everyone for your input. I really appreciate it.

I got my Kayfun 3.1 clone yesterday. My first coil may not be the best (I used the wire that came with it) but I have some good wire on the way (I ordered a spool of 100ft). My first observation is that the fill hole is useless! Juice came out around the needle I used to fill it. Plus, the screw is SO tiny that it was almost lost! I fill from the top now.

Other than that, I am happy with the vape. I am going to run out to get some sterile cotton balls today when it warms up some (was -7 when I got up!!!!). I do notice that it goes thru the juice faster than my cartos. The taste is AWESOME!!!!:vapor:

I want to find the ring for my Provari and am having a hard time! The only place I found one is in the UK.
Is there any place here in the US that sells them?

Well I used it all day today and it's been great! No leaking and all parts flush mount albeit a bit rough in places. I think that they just need some "polishing" and they should be a lot smoother but I don't know if sanding them a bit could actually damage it. I guess they will smooth out through use anyway. I don't expect them to ever be like my original DID, GINIs (4X) etc but they will be good and for the price this clone is a steal. I can't wait for the original replacement kits to arrive next week to complete it.

So would i pick this over the 3.1 from fasttech? Yes and I did because I have no answer for the material used on the ball bearing refill valve which cannot be changed by the user.

i agree. i received my kayfun lite clone yesterday, and it has been excellent. no leaks and great flavor. I have compared the flavor to my rsst, and my trident clone dripper. the Kayfun lite works well, my only problem is the tight draw. I completely removed the airflow screw and it is still a lttle too tight, but not bad. overall i am very happy with my purchase.

I think mine is missing the screw for the filling part but it is not leaking so ok then. the only screw i see on the side is the air flow one. Who knows, but so far so good. Cant wait to get home cause my 28 g should be here today and gonna do another build on it. But ya the liquid did seem to go fast in it. It was great though.

Do you guys get leaking when filling from the top?

Mine didn't leak that way for the first few fills but now it does.

Maybe I just overfilled it.

It's the ft 3.1 version.

Oh, btw how in the world do I use the fill valve? Someone posted that a metal syringe will damage the valve and to use a pipette. Anyone concur?

Are the FT clones plated brass decks?

Not sure which FT clone you are talking about but the hcigar one I got has a plated positive deck and screws! Mt wifes tobeco clone is all ss deck.. I have read that hcigar was aware and was changing this but don't know for sure.

Do you guys get leaking when filling from the top?....

I've seen a couple demonstration vids on the KF which say to cover one of the bottom holes when filling from the top, though I can't remember whether it's the air hole or bottom filling hole, or both.

Vaporev has a good demo video, which includes simple ways of dealing with both dry hits and gurgling/flooding (can't put up the link because the website is down for maintenance; the vid is on the 3.1 product page).

I never getting leaking when filling from the top, but I will have slight flooding/gurgling

you have 2 options. you can "burn off" the extra juice, or if its a considerable amount hold the tank upside down. allow all the juice to fall to the bottom (which is actually the top, but yea). once the juice settles, hold a paper towel right next to the air hole and blow through the mouth piece. this will clear the chamber and you'll be good to go

No. Do it the other way about. Turn it upside down and blow from the air hole. If you do it your way you'll simply force liquid into the below reservoire. Blow it like you would any other bottom coil clearo.
