The day has come. I have ordered my kayfun clone from Luxor Vapes. it is an hcigar. Now the wait begins. Will let yall know how it turns out when it gets here. Hope i can get the build on it right. this will be fun. I cant wait. Hope it gets here soon.

You will love it!! hcigar on left, Tobeco on right.

I have an original Kayfun Lite and two of the Tebeco Kayfun Lite clones. The only difference is the clones have adjustable air flow controls.
All three work exactly the same and give the same vaping experience. The parts will interchange between all three. I have to look for the air flow adjustment to see which one I am using.
I also use three Protank2's, but I am thinking about replacing them with three more of the Tebeco clones.
I use them on an Evic, a SID, a SVD, a VTR and a King Clone. I should be receiving a Poldiac clone in the next couple of days.
I build the Kayfun Lite and clones with a coil formed with 30ga and between 8 to 10 wraps with a .075 ID. I get 1.5 to 1.9 ohms with these builds. I wick with organic cotton balls or the yarn from Walmart.
The Tebeco Kayfun Lite clones came from Ebay at a cost of $39.49 with free shipping.

Does the eVic's tapered thread cap fit the Kayfun/Russian atty, or do you need the flat cap?

I tried Dawn 5 times (with a wire brush scrubbing), 99% alcohol purchased from Amazon, and even boiling the device for 30 minutes + but it didn't work.

After having a conversation with my father about the problem his knowledge in chemistry (ceramic engineer) explained why those methods probably didn't work and that I should try something that would actually break down the oils better. He recommended kerosine but said I could use gasoline. Obviously the smell is atrocious afterwards, but i then gave it an alcohol bath after and then a Dawn bath. I didn't think ahead enough and had to throw away some of the O-rings, but I'm just glad it's finally gone.

I've never encountered any metallic flavor this harsh or elusive before and hopefully I'll never have to.

what ended up working to get rid of the taste? I have been washing things with Dawn dish soap to make sure i get machine oil off. So far that has worked for me. That is what i was going to do this time as well.

Baking soda dissolved in water is what I hear works best.

Damn that was a lot of work. I hate metal drip tips so I noticed when I got rid of those the taste improved exponentially. Dunno if this will help you out but give it a shot. It may help even more.

Yea, it totally sucked. I thought I was going crazy for a bit but I was certain it was still there. Made my Boba's Bounty taste like the worst juice ever.

Actually, it kind of soured me to that juice still. I can vape it but i don't it will ever be an ADV for me again. Just left that kind of lasting impression.

I tried about 6 drip tips so I was certain it had nothing to do with that. I'm just glad the witch is dead and I have access to the kayfun. The threads are so amazing that I really don't touch the EHPro much at all.

Hey! I started this same thread late November and nobody paid attention...

Anyway, I snatched the first batch of Svoemesto marked 3.1 from FT. I've had several problems such as the valve not working and the air screw getting inside the base making contact with the positive and shortening it. When I fixed that the Kayfun works beautifully but has a VERY airy draw. No leaks unless I plug the airflow hole, which makes it flood too... I was surprised when I saw it came with an extra SS tank and the 510 driptip adapter. As for building, no problems yet, though I've had it going with two coils for the whole month.

rounding third and heading home...
I got mine HERE. They are clear and not frosted. I guess it's a matter of preference.

$20 is a bit pricey for a plastic tank. of course, everything from vaporrev is pricey. there are much cheaper sources for the same tank elsewhere-post #132 for example....
