So I got my svoe mesto kayfun lite today (that's a clone model right?) From texasvapesupply.. Anyways iv only had it leak twice one was a user error. Hit it to hard.
The second was laying it down to take a pic
This pic lol...

Lost a good half tank out the air hole...
I've heard before not to lay regular tanks on their side cause they will leak or/and flood iv personally never had this problem with any of my bottom coil tanks.. anyways was wondering if this would be a rare occasion or should I try and keep it upright ... cause that would suck for me

There is an air leak somewhere, probably an o-ring out of place or not there. Usually the culprit is the small one in the cap that goes over the top chimney "hat". Put the whole thing together without juice in it. Now cover the air inlet hole, and try to take a pull. You should get nothing; totally air tight. If it is not, it will leak. Look for out of place o-rings or missing o-rings.

If it all checks out, you can pretty much lay the thing any way you want for as long as you want without having it leak. I own 2 Ehpro clones and a real Svoe, and never had any of them leak even one drop. Good luck.

I had the same problem.

First thing I did was raise the coil off the deck a little bit. If it's too close it caused flooding.

Second thing I did was plugged up the air adjuster screw hole.

I used vasoline to plug it up but I'm thinking something a little more durable would be better for the long run.

Anyways, that stopped all leaks.

My kayfun lite plus turns the air hole into a water hose if I take off the top cap after it's filled. Don't try to fill it from the top cap, or unscrew the top cap after its full of juice. If you have to take the top cap off once it's filled with juice you need to put a piece of tape covering the air hole. After you screw the top cap back on you need to turn the tank up-side-down before removing the tape. I think when you open the tank after liquid has been put in it it causes air to get inside of it and forces it and your juice out of the air hole.

Ok I dumped the fluid and checked if it was airtight it was YaY
I plugged air hole with my finger before taking top cap off but I could still see the juice getting carried to the coil by the vacuum (physics is awsome lol)

I noticed the top chimney peice that screws into the bas chimney didn't have a o-ring on it between the two chimney peice that is but it was still air tight.
Anyways tested the ss tank it passed put it back together hit it a few times now I got it laying down ....... facing down fingers crossed

if built and wicked properly, there usually is only leaking problems when filling, and excess juice can usually be vaped away. There is a learning curve for total leak proof handling and care, but you will get there. I've had the Russian for 9 months now, and can lay it down, stand it up, vape it upside down, doesn't leak, but did go through my fair share of growing pains before reaching this level of carefree vaping. lmao

Do know that if you have to much cotton in the chamber it can totally flood the chamber, talking about fully flooded.

My optimum build for the Russian is a dual series vertical build wicked with Ramie fiber, vaped at 30 watts. Still use it in my daily rotation, sometimes.

The only way to fill from the top Is to firmly plug the air intake with your thumb!

Also, once you get the top cap screwed about half way in, turn it upside down and finish securing the cap.

It has also been my experience that some juices are just leaky in the KFL+ I have a "genuine" KFL+, and it leaks like a sieve with one of my favorite juices (AiV "Twas Brillig" which is supposely somewhere around 30/70) but it doesn't leak a drop if I fill it with my own DIY Cinnamon Bunz (which I know is a 20/80 juice, so it's thick)

I think that because of the way the air flow control system works on the KFL+, thin juices just tend to be leaky because they wick better and flow faster than thick juices.

I run into the same problem with my AMP tanks if I try to put anything in them lower than about 40/60...

Hi Stereo! Long time no see. :)

I have to disagree with you on the viscosity of the liquid. I use HHV NET in my KFL+ and it is 70/30 PG/VG. I don't get any leaking whatsoever... I use silica wick, if that makes a difference?

Hello!! I am new to the forum, but I've been having some problems with my kayfun clone. I have one that is a side filler, it has a tiny screw next to the air hole screw that you unscrew to fill it. I've had problems with it leaking that I have tried to fix, but I don't really know what else to do. I made sure to be extra careful when filling it and now I only fill it from the side hole. It hasn't been leaking when I leave it upright, but sometimes it will leak in my bag/the carrying case I usually put it in, which now permanently smells like apples. I don't really know where it is leaking from because when I check it, the air hole looks dry as well as the fill hole. I don't think it is coming out of the top, but it might be. I've tightened the tank part to make sure it wasn't loose, so I'm not sure what is happening.

Any suggestions?

I haven't taken it completely apart because it is still half full with juice.

when built and wicked properly, only time there is risk in flooding is during and after filling. Though to much cotton can severely flood it. lmao.

Usually always get a super saturated wick when filling from the top method. I just make sure and vape it down before transporting. If really flooded simply blow the excess through the air intake. tipping it up will flow it back to the coil, while vaping, but if its really flooded bad, one risks a wet vape.

Thank you for the link, I think this is the problem with my new KFLs. I going to take them both completely apart and start over.

And when you take them apart, be sure to CLEAN them--I mean like soaking them in Everclear and then letting everything air-dry for an our or so. If there is ANY sort of juice in the air-flow system clinging to the walls, it can start the siphoning effect again, and you're back to leaky town.

But be sure to take the o-rings and any plastic tanks off before soaking it in everclear. The nylon spacer in the deck should be OK, but o-rings can be damaged from pure alcohol...

You want the metal parts of that thing to be CLEAN as a whistle when you re-assemble it...
