I suggest we are in the minority. Blows my mind when people go sub-ohm at 40 watts. Say what?

To each his own, as the saying goes. But 8W seems really low. Just saying.
I vape my Naughty Minis around 11-14W, the Kayfuns 12-16W. The sqonker gets a bit more Watts. But I tend to experiment.
Have built drippers for mechs, vaped on much higher wattages, there is something to it.
If you want to get an rta and vape it on 2-2.5 Ohms, I'd still suggest a simple VW (not VV) mod. Please consider a small box mod.

Perhaps I should stick with my iStick then. Are the cylindricals any lighter in weight?

There's nothing lighter than your iStick 30W 2200mAh (that's an 18650 battery) in the form of a cylindrical with an 18650. Most of them have stainless steel bodies, that makes them heavier. The iStick is alloy.

See, that is my problem; I am not comfortable vaping at 8 watts - too hot for me. My comfort zone is 4.8 - 6 watts max (Or 4 volts max) With a variable device I can lower the watts, but not with a mech.

To answer my own post, I never had a problem hitting 8-12 watts with any other tank than Kayfun. The only difference I see is that the Kayfun is such an efficient nic delivery machine - playing tricks on my brain as if the vape was too hot when in fact the high nic level might be the problem. Since I started using the Kayfun, I have had to lower my nic from 8 mg to 3 mg, but still, even at that level, I am getting a robust hit. I will try an experiment by lowering my nic to 2 mg and see if that makes a difference. Does that make sense anyone?

Makes sense to me!
But that's only because I switched over to 0mg last April...do anything with Nic in it these days will practically knock me on myass...
It sucks cuz switching to 0mg made a handful of my favorite all-day-vapes lose flavor...but I'd rather be off Nic than have a tasty vape!

At the rate I am going down with my nic, I may join you sometime very soon. It may not be such a bad thing anyway - as long as you're getting all those good flavors.

What's so bad about the Nic? I hear it really isn't bad for us. When I hear that it is in fact bad for us in the amount we use, I'll use 0 nic.

I have an SVD from September, 2013. Not sure which version it is. But it is 5" long in 18490 mode. While it performs good, I never liked the large size. It is nearly 1" longer than a Provari in 18490 mode. I also do not like all the buttons and where they locate them next to the screen. I'm always pressing the wrong button (or the screen). Beyond that, it is a fairly quality mod with all the features.
