Next question I purchased 28g at local B&M, now I'm looking to buy more. Is there a difference between USA made wire. I see Kidney Puncher sells USA kanthal wire. I was looking at 30' spool.

Ping, use the link to Lightning Vapes that crss provided. Good source for Kanthal A-1. And if you want to spend a few more bucks consider getting yourself some ceramic tweezers. They're safer than regular tweezers.

This is what I have been using: Kanthal Wire 28 Gauge RW0117 - 50 FT 0.31oz Series A-1 Resistance AWG
Shipping is pretty fast, it is the only one I have used.

If you don't ask you'll never know. Right now I'm using a 2mm screw driver and I'm getting aggravated feeding the cotton through it. Call it old age and bad eyes. Is 2.5mm too large for a Kayfun, using 28 g.
That'll work too Ping. Use less wraps if you want to hold your resistance. Try 8 wraps.
I use 2.4mm all the time for my coils in the Kayfun, much easier to wick than a 2mm coil.
Get yourself a Coil Master, makes life much easier winding nice, tight consistent coils.

Just tinkering in the shop one day, I built my own for 2.4mm coils out of an old drill bit, a screw and a some dowel.
I use 2.4mm all the time for my coils in the Kayfun, much easier to wick than a 2mm coil.

Hi Ping, I too use a 2.5, 8 wraps but not on a cool coiler like Troll. Works just swell. I've been using KGD cotton recently and it seems to need less changing than the organic cotton I was using. (I tend to use light e-liquid and only need to change weekly anyway). Might be something to consider down the line, if you get itchy to try something different.

Anyone know where I can find a standard chimney top replacement part for Kayfu? Can't seem to find it anywhere
Buy a whole Kayfun for cheap at Fastech or similar discounter and use it for parts. What happened to your chimney top? Down the ole drain?
