I'm using a Tobeco clone and I removed the air control screw. The leaking appears to be coming from the bottom somewhere, maybe the fill hole or airflow? I still taste the machine oils! I did take everything apart and soak it.

Soaking isnt going to get rid off the oil, you have to give everything a good scrub or use a ultra sonic cleaner. Check the o-ring on the fill screw.

Guys.. I just got my kayfun lite (clone) a few days ago. I watched some videos and filled it up... man, I cannot get the machine oil taste out. I tried soaking it in alcohol, vinegar, boiling water... I still taste it. And also.. it's leaking. It's probably because I'm a noob, but I wish I could get it working as nice as all the people who love it. Maybe rebuildables are just not for me... I always feel like I get really harsh throat hit too. I tried using the prebuilt coils as well as making some of my own, tried silica and cotton... still feels harsh. Cotton feels more harsh to me than silica. Guess I should stick with my clearos and cartos?

Perhaps all of the machine oil is inside the very tip of your drip tip? Try using a cotton swab.

Also, you reported harshness, worse with cotton. That to me sounds like a hotspot on your coil. Try using a micro-coil. Also, try using more cotton, or wick. Check out some videos on youtube.

stunning!!

Thanks!

LReyes, where did you get the brass rings? Are they brass on the inside that touches the juice? I am sorry to make you repeat yourself.

Vapor solutions. No brass touches juice. The middle tank covers half of the threads n the top n bottom caps cover the rest.

I found another use for my steel middle tank. Setup for tomorrow. Only time I wished I had a polished kayfun. If you don't know yet I'm in love with my stingray... Can't wait til I get me red copper sting

I'm in love with my Stingray, too! I've caused 4 people to order one by showing it off while at the vape shops. I'm also looking forward to getting the copper one. Trying to figure out a great looking/working RDA for it. I use a Zenith with the brass ring when dripping with my phantom brass Stingray.
