I personally find building kayfun coils far easier than that of an EVOD or Protank head. Micro coils on a 5/64s drillbit (what i use) on a kayfun are super easy and quick. Just be careful as to wire positioning when mounting coil. You want about 1mm of space between air flow hole and coil. Also, make sure not to put to much cotton/silica! It wont wick properly!

If you can build a coil on an Evod, you'll have no trouble at all on the Kayfun - it's so much less fiddly.

I've got two KFL+s, and they're amazing. Very thick, rich vapour, and they taste brilliant. Well worth the price.

They do leak slightly (e.g. when you fill them, although there are knacks to avoiding that, and if you leave them on their sides). They have polypropylene (or whatever it is... the one that reacts with certain juices) tanks, though they come with a steel version too (not sure how practical that is, not being able to see the juice level, but no doubt you can get used to it). It's also slightly annoying not being able to fiddle with the coil without draining the tank.

But other than those minor quibbles, I'd say do it without hesitation.

Personally, my Kayfun has been getting a bunch of attention lately. I would highly recommend purchasing one. The design of the internal evaporation chamber is intelligent and I find it gives superb, concentrated flavor. It's incredibly easy to rebuild, compared to something like a genesis style atomizer. I always use a nano coil wrapped around a drill bit with cotton wick but you could hand wrap silica or ekowool depending on what you prefer. It's not a cloud machine, I stay above 1.2 ohms, its not built for sub-ohming, its built for flavor. Don't dry burn it for extended periods as people have had issues melting the insulator on the positive connection. Otherwise, there are a lot of build tutorials that can show you what to do to get it running. Pull the trigger!

Well, I live in a castle, three doors down from the Queen. And I eat baked beans and Marmite for breakfast, and curry for dinner, every single day.

My teeth are a cracked and yellowed pit of putrescence, but I'm far too polite (or perhaps repressed) to ask the Communist bureaucrats running the socialised NHS to do anything about it. I unashamedly use words like 'putrescence' in general conversation.

I spell 'z' with an 's' and 'o' with a 'u'. And most importantly, it's raining, right now, outside my... erm... castles don't have windows do they. Arrow slit thing - there you go.

What more proof could you possibly need?

Agreed, the kayfun was pretty simple compared to most to get right. On top of that it is the only rebuildable I have felt comfortable traveling with me to work. I used to how to vid from Vape Rev? I found it really good and simple. Also at first I was wrapping my coils to tight, you want the coil to be touching the wick but not strangling it. Guess it is my favorite buy of 2013.

Kayfuns are amazing. Once you try one... you'll kick yourself for wasting time and money on clearo tanks. If you know how to build and fill one properly you will be rewarded with absolutely ZERO leaking, gurgling, or dry hits.

They leak if you leave them on their side (depending how full they are), and can leak when you fill them too.

Not a major issue, but ZERO leaking is overselling it.

Kayfun is a huge tank and has a removable chamber or chimney inside that covers the coil and the wick. I bought mine with a pre-installed coil and wick, so all you have to do is copy how it was set up when it's time to replace it. Or you can try some variations.

Although the tank has plenty of room for the juice, it's not meant to be filled. Otherwise, gurgling starts. I put about 10 to 15 drops of liquid, and it vapes beautifully. It's cleverly invented and, as everyone stated, the coil is easy to set up.
