Got my kfl+ today. I'm completely in love with it!
Set it up with a 1.5 ohm,29ga microcoil and cotton. Has worked perfectly for me since i started using it 5 hours ago.
No burn taste,no leaks, lots of vapour and taste, and most of all no flooding or gurgling.
I've been using the protank1(?) for many months, and been generally happy with it, it would flood when it was getting low on juice, and when i had been outside in the cold and coming back inside.
None of that on the kfl+! Was out in -10 degrees, coming back inside, still works flawlessly. Can't say yet whether it will gurgle when it gets low on juice..Haven't read any reports of that happening.
Currently using it on the lavatube,as im waiting on the provari that should be in my hands on Monday! Christmas came early for me this year.

Low on juice with a KF will never produce gurgling, at least that's what I've been experiencing in mine. It's when I put more juice that gurgling begins. I let it sit for a while without using it, then the gurgling is minimize until it stops, most likely it gets absorbed by the wick. But just yesterday I changed the coil, after cleaning the dissembled pieces and it's been vaping beautifully. No gurgling.

On topic just got my kayfun lite plus tobeco clone. All great but getting a weird taste. I did wash it with hot water, may need a vodka bath. Weird taste compared to my reo with rm2, same coil and cotton and obviously same juice. First tokes were amazing but just a weird taste has started to appear. Only had it for a few hours so some fine tuning with wicks maybe.

Does it happen to taste like machine oil? I have the Ehpro clone and after several rinses the taste was still present. I completely broke everything down (isolators out and everything). gave it hot water rinse and dish soap then used a qtip to clean down the middle where the where the screw for the 510 connection goes. That finally did the trick. Been amazing ever since.

Don't know if they need filing, suspectk, the wick was very wet when I took apart. Giving it another clean. Never tasted machine oil, but think it could be that. I didn't really clean the chimney to well before and as that's the main path of vapour could be that. I'll see how it is after second bath.

Kayfun or Russian is an excellent first rba, or second or third one. Great flavor and vape, fairly easy to build, and will make you pif all your Kanger and iClears to some deserving sole. It is a great step up and well worth the investment in your vape gear.

The full version Russian was my first rba, still use it, still love it. Lot of great rba's out there, the kayfun style is one of the must have's for anyone's collection. IMHO.

I have burned my fingers and wallet on a lot of stuff that did not work, so I decided to order different clones from Fasttech. One way or the other, I figured I could mod them to work. I got both the full Russian clone and the lites.

Much to my amazement, these were all great! The fit, finish (once you soak them in Vodka for a while to remove the machine oil taste), easy set up, and vape are amazing.

The design makes a lot of sense, and you can try different combinations of coils and wicks.

By far the best I have seen to date. After a steep learning curve, I got my genesis style to work well enough, but they are a PITA to rebuild, and they do not travel well-not to mention the fact that I need a tool kit to rebuild them.

My rebuilt Kanger's work great for travelling. I can carry spare heads and swap them out in no time. Not the optimum vape, but good enough.

With these, all I need is a pack of some self made coil/wicks and a mini Phillips. They are big which is the only negative and are a bit ungainly on my travel devices: Itaste's VV/VW.

In deference to the designer, I decided to order an original even though the price is 5x that of the clones. He deserves to get something for his design.

The clone issue is one which bothers my conscience a bit. An original and FUNCTIONING idea should be rewarded. On the other hand, I have a box full of expensive junk that failed me miserably: BuzzPro, Darwin, Joker, and not to mention some of the stuff foisted on me by GotVapes

They leak if you leave them on their side (depending how full they are), and can leak when you fill them too.

Not a major issue, but ZERO leaking is overselling it.

I use my KFL+ all day, every day. It's on it's side all night when it's charging. The only time it's not on it's side is when I'm currently vaping it. I never set it down upright out of fear of it falling over. It's been upside down for extended periods of time. When I'm lying down I will vape it upside down.
I have NEVER had one drop of juice leak from it.
But more importantly for me, no lava, no juice in your mouth

Looks like it should work.. here's two polar opposite clones with wick well issues.. one doesn't even have them. The others are too big.. you need too put more wick than normal over those.

What kind of e-liquid?

I'm surprised by the near unanimity in this thread... I don't leave mine on their sides, so never had a leak because of that, but I've read about it happening to a few other people, in this thread particularly (search thread for 'leak' and you get quite a few hits, most are from filling, some from pressure changes, some from leaving on the side...)

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/436118-kayfun-lite.html

As I said, I'm not making it out to be a major issue - doesn't bother me in the slightest now I know how to fill it. I just don't think you can describe it as a 'zero leaks' tank, when people are reporting leaks without evidence of user error.

A lot of old top vaper from mad vapes and Halo which are not specified but is more than likely mostly PG. They're both thin.

Lots of BWB and MtBV, all flavors are either 65% or 85% PG.
