my last order from AVE was 2 FEB13, prior to that the last order was July of 2012.

my order with madvapes was 3 JAN 13
the Fraudulent purchase was made on 4 Jan 13.

yes, see this is why I don't think it's a problem with anyone one vendor. mine was hit on the same night I ordered from BWB. haven't ordered from AVE for quite some time.....maybe six months.

Count me in ...I got hit too. I got a call from my bank last night (Wells Fargo) about some suspicious charges on my account (like $200+ for flowers - in AUSTRALIA!!!). I ordered from AVE a little over a week ago also, so there appears to be a common thread.

Cancelled the card & they are sending me a replacement, as well as the forms to report fraud, but the process will take a few days.

I hope Ben gets things straightened out soon ... if I can't get my Boba's & Gorilla Juice, I'll not be a happy camper... :grr:

Mar 2nd was my last AVE order.

I got an email from my bank on Mar 18th saying that my card had automatically been cancelled for fraud protection.

Called and they said fraudulent charges were attempted but caught. I have nothing suspicious in my activity history so I don't know where the charges were from, how much, or exactly when they tried to go through.

I have been reading this thread with great interest. Having purchased from MadVapes with no problems, I am still concerned. Just incase others have not thought of it, this is what I've done. After going to various sites that I have made purchases from I found they did not offer me a way to delete my CC info.

So I called my credit union and canceled my debit card that I had been using as a CC. They will issue me another card.

I also established a second account with NO OVER DRAFT PROTECTION. Now, using their online banking feature I can transfer monies from my regular account to this new account when ever I want to make an online purchase. This way if there ain't no money in the account, THEY can't get nothin'! Kinda like my own virtual online CC. As online purchases are treated the same as a POS, no additional fees are charged.

Could everyone who has been "hit" Please say where you last e-cig/juices orders were from?

I posted this on the other thread, but Thought I would post it here as well,.because a couple of peeps on the other thread said they had ordered from this company...

Wow!! Now you all have me worried! I tried placing an order through Hoosier yesterday morning and it kept getting stuck on processing...so called them and wast old they were having issues with CC purchases, that they couldn't even do call in orders,b ut had someone working on it, and to try again later in the afternoon. Kept going back to their site and they had put a big banner on their site telling of not being able to process CC orders at the moment. Late yesterday afternoon, that banner was gone from their site and I was able to place my order...now I'm worried since someone said this is where their fraud charges came from. Sure hope I'm OK on that front!!

I'm seriously ready to write out and mail a money order.

I have 10ml of Boba's left and I'm trying to make it last but everything else I have stinks in comparison. :(

I'm right there with you. I don't have any others I like, even a little, aside from what I have left of the Boba's. I only bought a small bottle to make sure the nic content was right but now i can't order a larger one. :( I guess I'll have to find another vendor to buy from until this clears up, I don't have enough juice to last me through the month.

My account info got hacked yesterday, had someone try to charge $157 at a Harley store in Colorado lol...luckily Chase is always on top of things like this and didn't allow the purchase to go through. They cancelled my card and now I have to wait a week or so for a new one, sucks but I am glad they caught it. Someone also tried setting up an account for something in the UK.

I asked this in the other thread on this subject too, but could members who were hit with bogus charges please try to post when their last purchase with AVE was so we can try to figure out how far back this goes.

Thanks.
Last AVE purchase 2/20.

The fraud hit my bank on 3/15. I order so much stuff, it's hard to say where it came from.

Looks like AVE found the vulnerability. Ben says they'll be closed a few more days, I think it's a good idea. I'm ready to place an order with him as soon as he's back up.

Normally I'd be extremely wary of using a vendor again after something like this, but I'm not going to let a bunch of two-bit thieves cost a great business any more money than they already have. Hopefully Ben's wookies will lock the place down for good this time.

Thank goodness. What a headache for everyone involved. I had to fill out fraud forms from my bank but I'm sure it's nothing compared to what AVE is dealing with.

Definitely going with a second account with it's own card so I just just move money over when I want to purchase something. Not getting overdraft protection either.

I will also continue to order from them. I am a loyal customer. Need me some Bobas and Bees Knees!

I'm thinking he is going to be quite busy once he is taking orders again.
