keep atomizer screwed in, or unscrew after use?

ok, so this may sound like a dumb question, but I'm curious as to either you guys keep the ecig completely together all the time, or you guys take it apart after each use. I do the latter because I have a carrying case that doesn't fit the whole ecig as one.

the reason I'm asking this is I want to know personal experiences of if the ecig batteries wear and tear more easily when the atomizer is being screwed in and unscrewed all the time, vs keeping it screwed in all the time (I'm paranoid, I already had 3 ecigs die on me within 2 days each, so I'm trying to scrutinize every little single thing I do).

also if you unscrew your atomizers all the time, do you guys keep the mouthpieces on it? if so would there be trouble of overflooding the atomizer easily this way?

Myke--I unscrew mine at night--take the cartridge out and turn it upside down cartridge side down, to let it drain onto a paper towel. Hope that helps-Sun

Different strokes...

Some people disassemble their devices every night.
Some don't.
Some drain atomizers, some don't.
Batteries... same thing, everybody's got their own preference.

I never take it apart. All I ever do is top off the cart or occassionally rinse when changing flavors. My devices are all still on the original atomizers. Lost one battery so far, but I suspect it was defective since none of the others have failed using the same chargers/methods.

Do they last because I have the best method? I doubt it, but it works for me.

i leave it together till the battery dies. i even keep it vertical in my shirt pocket, and as long as its not overfilled, it never floods. more of a chance on contacting metal and shorting out i think when apart...and as you said, wear and tear, i have heard many people say they wore out threads or broke threads on batteries and atomizers. mine is almost 1 1/2 months old and still on original parts, atomizer and all.

I keep mine together all the time too. At the very beginning, I killed 2 batts and 2 atomizers while experimenting with new flavors. I'm sure I flooded the hell out of them! In retrospect though, I'm not even sure the atomizers were dead because I have since revived other atomizers I thought were dead. Unfortunately I tossed them out then so I'll never know.

But I do know those 2 batteries were definitely dead. But I've been watching that since....and leaving things together until I absolutely have to clean them...and I haven't had an atomizer or batt die since. That's been almost 2 months now.

I am not sure, but my DSE 901 batts appear to be lasting a little bit longer after I started to unscrew them from the atomizer when I'm not vaping... Does it make any sense at all or am I imagining things?
