I've been using a Kensington portable power pack with a USB-PT for awhile now. Generally it's great.

But it seems to work until it's on 3 of 5 charge-indicator lights, and then the KPPP just dies and needs a recharge. I sent the old one back, and now the new one does the same thing.

Did I get two bad ones in a row? Or is this jus known issue with using one?

Thanks in advance.

The power indicator should be ignored lol! If it is on 5 lights its fine, on 4 it should last another 2-5 hours or so if the lights go beyond that expect it to die any minute and its time to start searching for the nearest USB socket :)

For me it lasts a day or 2 but expect some nasty surprises should the lights not be on 5 one day!!

You are experiencing normal operation. I also took advantage of warranty replacement and the new power pack does not last very long with only three LEDs lit. Both of my units pretty much died shortly after dropping to 3 lights.

E-cig devices draw tons more current than mp3 players or cellphones, so I guess that we are using these batteries pretty hard. I tend to leave mine plugged into a power source if one is nearby.

I took one back after I noticed a drop in the hours it was giving me, and didn't understand until recently that I shouldn't be using it until it was dead. Now I have 2 and try to remember to recharge before it shows 2 lights and a low charge. I'm sure that will extend the life a bit, but then they do have a decent warranty, so might as well vape away and take advantage of it.
