mota just came up with a fantastic idea! Post'em up and don't be shy! We're going to nail this thing down one way or the other. It's becoming a mission for me now!

LMAO - that made me laugh so hard it gave me MOTAvation to keep going tonight. may be a while since I gotta fiish this tank (and I'm at work, but I'm always at work, 24/5...just means something may pop up or I may be vaping and tinkering all night )

hey how about in the mean time we all take a break from this and talk about other things, and I'll post pics when I get em soon. mota, I'm curious, how long have you been an ex-drinker and why? I think my last drink was October 2012. I may have had like 4-5 drinks prior to that in 2012. I drank a ton in college--first 2 years anyway. After that I went through phases of either not drinking or drinking very seldom. Eventually I decided it's a nasty high and does more harm than good to society and self so I quit. I'm more or less sworn to never drink again, but not with the same passion as say, tobacco. I just don't enjoy it so it's not hard. But I rarely meet anybody else who never drinks so I'm always curious whats up :)

My usual response to that is "have you ever met someone who quit drinking for NO reason?" LOL No, usual boring reasons. I worked in bars, was a soundman in bars/clubs, was basically in and around bars for around 15 years. 7 nights a week either working or 'playing' in bars. Going to bed at 5am, waking up at 4pm, starting all over again. I was surrounded by professional drinkers. Anyone who worked in a bar probably knows what Im talking about. It wasnt hard to quit at all. My wife gave up that lifestyle before I did, after awhile I started getting the 'look' every time I went out lol. Happy wife happy life!

Glad you got a good laugh! You just made things a little clearer! Me thinks that may be a big part of your problem right there!

I build to mm so, 5/64=1.9844 mm or close to 2.0

1/8 = 3.1750mm or close to 3.0

For a dead on 1.7 ohm coil I come up with a 10/9 wrap @ 2mm. This is a little bit on the long side for pulling the juice thru the wick and coil.

On your next build, bump your bit size up to 1/8 (3mm) as you will achieve the exact same results only your coil will be a 7/6 wrap!

Less coil = less flow restriction!

of coarse you will have to adjust the amount of cotton accordingly.

Empty that tank and give it a shot.

Don't know if you have cell reception or a smart phone up there but if you do, do not pass go, don't collect the 200 and install the Vapors Toolbox app right away....;)

Fasttech has Quartz and Quartz Nano Kits for very cheap...I have a couple on the way.

I can't believe they didn't include a glass tank. Vaping out of plastic tanks is so ghetto...

I use the plastic nano tanks and I am sooooo not ghetto.... *puts hand on one hip and snaps fingers with the other hand* I prefer "boughetto" thank you very much :)

Oh, I enjoy my liquor but, I also now live by the credo that "A man needs to Know his limitations." I just wish I would of figured that one out when I was just a wee bit younger then when I did...

Hmm whoa this is all over my head :D

My problem is...I'm using a drill bit set from the workshop and it's unlabeled. I can ask tomorrow of maintenance knows which one is 1/8 but they may or may not know without the chart. The only one I know for certain is the 1/16, the smallest one. I think the next biggest is 5/64. No idea which is 1/8 or how to measure and see.

On my next build I'd kinda like slightly lower ohms - like 1.3-1.5, preferably right at 1.4. By this reasoning, bumping up the size and doing lower ohms would be less wraps = even less flow restriction?

The thing that plagues me is how well this thing vaped on my first build and tank and then also one other wick and tank - come to think of it actually I had 3 working wicks overall...I keep forgetting that middle one because it was a leak that caused me to re-wick (the leak was due to not having everything snug, and i decided to change flavors so i re-wicked). Particularly that third working wick, the greatest vape of my life to date. Smooth, tons of vapor, and Wakonda tasted like heaven itself if coffee and tobacco are allowed in heaven  would a problem of juice restriction due to that long of a coil still allow for such a heavenly vape for the first few tanks?

I hear ya. My problem was my limitations kept expanding lol. It's crazy to think how much liquor I could put down in one night.

If vaping out of plastic tanks is ghetto, then I want to be a pimp daddy! :D

Right back at ya. I am a rather big boy. When I would get on a roll, I could put it down by the gallon. Put a good steak and spud dinner in front of me and the possibility's could be endless. Thank God I was always able to hold my mud though.
