Should I go with a kgo starter kit or a joy tech starter kit? I have been a pack a day menthol smoker for 23 years. I am looking for a real smoking feel.

KGO all the way. They are unregulated and come off the charger at roughly 4.2 volts. The Joye is regulated to 3.4 volts.

I also agree with the Kgo as a starter kit. If you do decide to purchase the eGo stay away from the eGo tank system starter kits as they are problematic.
I agree, the board if full of people that junked the tank that comes with the ego starter kit. There are much better products to stick on the battery.
I went with the Kgo, but now if I were starting out and doing it over again I might go with an Ego Twist starter kit or lava tube.
Much would depend on form factor and what's comfortable to you.

+1 for the kgo. Basically the same thing but you get more power for your buck with the kgo.
