After only a few weeks of vaping and a ton of time spent looking through this forum, I decided to upgrade from my V2 to a KGO. Have a few issues making the transfer though.

The one I bought was from hoosiers, containing a atomizer and cartidges, both of which I'm not too familar with. The V2 kit I got came with cartomizers.

After recieveing the KGO and reading the instructions, I put it together and got an absolutely horrible taste from it when trying to vape. Also, the 5 cartidges sent with it seem to contain absolutely nothing as far as juice goes. The filament inside of them are moist, but all they produce is a gross burnt taste.

Looking for some help and guidance on using this new device. I bought the KGO after reading so many great review and experiences with it, hoping the issues that I'm having are my own fault.

Thanks!

Same thing happened to me when I got my setup. Hate to say it, but those carts that are included are worthless. I use dual coil cartomizers, a Smoktek Dual Coil Cartomizer tank, and the 3.5ml Vision Clearomizers for mine. You will love the Kgo once you have the right combo for yourself! I bought all of these from Hoosier as well :)

You definitely should get some good cartos. Either the 1.5 dual coil cartos or the 1.7 resurrectors will work great on the KGO. I only used my atomizer that came with the Kgo for testing new flavors. One atty lasted about an hour before it stopped working and the other lasted 2 days so the ones I got sucked anyways. Maybe I just got a bad batch but they definitely were terrible. CCV has the resurrectors and Hoosier has the dual coil cartos. Boge 2.0 ohm cartos are great too and extremely cost effective.

Boondock.. I upgraded my V2 with a KGO, so I know exactly what you're saying. The atty/cartridge combo that came with your KGO is crap.. I've tried many times to get a good vape from them with no luck. I'm sure you have lots of the 808 cartos that came with your V2, and Hoosier has 808-510 adapters so you can use them on your KGO. But like everyone else says.. you need good cartos. I also highly recommend the resurrectors from CCV. I also use Boge 2.0 and EMDCCs. All of those work fabulously well... I haven't totally given up on the atty thing,, I'm going to try a bridgeless atty, I'd like to find an atty that works to test flavors with, so I don't waste a good carto on a juice I don't like. The atty/cartridge thing just seems like way too much work for me,, especially when you can screw on a carto and be set for hours. Don't give up on your KGO,, you'll truly love it once you get the right carto!

Welcome to ECF! I got my KGO from Hoosiers too, and I love it. I also have around five packs of those carts lying around and I found them useless in the beginning as well.

I saw the post about blowing them what do you mean by that?

I have been using the Smoketech 1.7 and Boge. They work well. You fill them up with juice. A good place to start would be youtube and search "How to fill a cartomizer" you will find lots of instructional video. Great Success to you!!!!!

What did you smoke before you started vaping?

Welcome to ECF ! May be a dumb question, but did you blow out the primer/lubricant from the new atty before using it? That taste can be awful and can really ruin the taste of a cart.

Wow! I was having a problem with the taste with my new kGo too (just got it today!!) and that helped. I feel kind of dumb, but glad I stumbled across this!

I don't know why these vendors still send out new kits with carts and attys.
If I was a vendor, I wouldn't let one out the door without at least a couple cartos in it.
There should be a big red warning on the sales page: WARNING!! CARTS SUCK. BUY CARTOMIZERS.
At the least, they should just raise the price and throw in a pack of Boge 2ohms.

I wish suppliers would stop sending carts and atomizers, the tiny ones are useless and dripping is a hassle. Get some nice cartomizers and scan the forum for what people are vaping as far as flavors and what vendors they use. Taste is subjective to each person, but you know what foods and flavors you like!

Check out the Stardust/ETurbo cartomizers!! I love them with my KGO. A variety of vendors carry them. I got mine from Cark City Vapor E Turbo Atomizer I've been using mine for 3 weeks now, and they are still going strong! I really like being able to fill them so easily, and being able to see how much juice is still there.

Smoked marborolo methol lights and dipped skoal mint, so naturally started vaping a menthol/minty flavor. Just put in an order with madvapers for a 3.5 smoktech dual coil tank and three new flavors. Kind the hang of the atomizers thing, but dripping is such a pain imo. Cant wait for the tank to come in. And im absolutely loving the life on this kgo battery. On my third day with a single charge as opposed to going through two V2 batteries a day and having to charge each one at night.
